Jacuzzi jets adjustment - please advise

I would like to adjust eyeballs of my two Jacuzzi jets in order to change flow direction. The attached pictures show both the pool and one of the jets.

I am not able to move the eyeballs by using a pipe inserted into the opening or by vise grips - even if I loosen the 3 screws. The pool and the jets are of 1968 vintage and as a result the eyeballs may be simply frozen.

• Any tip on how to move the eyeballs?
• Or should I replace the jets?

Well, that's a good question. They may need replaced if they are very, very old. Lets see if someone else can chime in.
