I observed water flowing out of the backwash port on filter setting and determined I needed to replace spider gasket.
I ordered gasket kit and proceeded to replace gaskets. After thoroughly cleaning channels and lightly gluing (rtv) I proceeded to install
Lever halve of valve. When set it on top there is a gap about a 1/8 inch wide. When I bolt it down it compresses the spring like there is an obstruction
or the gasket is too thick. When I bolt it down the handle goes limp.
The gasket seems to be the correct fit.
I installed it flat side down.
I also installed new valve shaft and flange oring
Can anyone help?
