Hello, been searching and searching on this topic everywhere and would like more opinions on this. I’m debating if I should run 1.5” or 2” plumbing. Taking into consideration efficiency and any possible future equipment changes. Will be running underground and pouring a concrete slab so trying to decide before pouring. Pump/filter will be about 15-20 ft away. (1.5hp pump 100sq ft cartridge filter and a 12x24x54 agp. ) What do you guys suggest? Does it even really matter on this small setup? Thanks!

It will not make a big difference.

If your pump, filter, skimmer, and returns have 1.5" outlets then they are going to be your restrictive points and 2" pipe between them will be little benefit. If you have equipment with 2" connections then it may make sense.
