I plan to close my pool myself this season. What do people recommend to clear the water lines? I get the impression that air volume is more important than pressure. Is there a pump folks would recommend that does the job of blowing out the lines efficiently?

I have a Pentair VSF that worked until yesterday no issues. Now the pump barely primes and when it does it pulls a very small amount of water at 3K RPM...Any ideas what it is. Another note that when I backflush it pulls at full strength. Weird.
