Did you buy the Hayward thru the wall skimmer? Because they come equipped with a vacuum plate and you can vacuum directly to the skimmer....

It will not take you long to get the hang of this... The pool store is trying to make money and they do that by selling chemicals... There are literally thousands of people who use this method, you just have to keep reading.... Taking control of your pool, is the most satisfying thing you can...

They reckon we're in for a really cold winter this year... I'm in Canberra and its always cold in winter... :-( Sydney has great weather since you're so coastal....

In Australia I get 4 gallons for $12.... Its 12.5% bleach.... :-) So bout $3.00 a gallon or for metric users, or about $1.25 a litre... :-) That's direct from a chemical supply company... :-) Super cheap...

Re: BBB Saved Me Over $1,400 in the First Full Year I actually still use the pucks......I don't bother with manually adding stabilizer into my pool.....Its only until I get my CYA up to where it needs to be, then I remove the puck floater from the pool and continue with bleach... :-)
