Like I said, you can use it - it's be best to use it in the beginning of the season when the other levels are low, so that when all the other levels rise, you don't need to compensate 8-)

Thank you for reminding folks that the cell doesn't need to be cleaned every 3 months (it does need to be cleaned when it develops scale!) If you follow the suggested chem levels in Pool School for SWCGs, you shouldn't have to acid clean the cell :)

Welcome to TFP!! I don't disagree with Jason (because he's right). The cells can test up to +/- 500 ppm and the salt tests IIRC are +/- 200 ppm. If the cell is good, add salt to keep it happy and generating - the cell won't produce if it 'thinks' the salt is too low! If your test is ~1500 ppm...

With only 2 returns, you're going to see the hydrogen bubbles from the SWCG coming out of the returns. The concentration of the bubbles will tend to raise the pH.
