I'm in the same boat as you. My wife purchased the 15'x48" Intex Prism from Target, but I'm wondering if we would be better off with the Ultra or another brand. We have a standard metal frame Intex that was a good pool, but we would like something a little larger and deeper.

Jeff and dom, thanks for the info. I assume the pump will stay on "Filter" mode while running the vacuum.

Jeff, I just received the hose adapter. What process should I follow to properly connect my vacuum? Do I need to modify the intake screen to allow for debris to flow in?

Jeff, was that the smaller intake for the smaller filter, or the larger intake. BTW, I have the single intake, but I upgraded my holes to use the larger Intex hoses without the neck-down adapters.

Thanks Jeff. One question...the description wasn't real clear on the size of the adapter. Does this adapter fit the larger Intex intake inlet?

JEC11718, Thanks for the response. Just so I'm clear, I will need to close the valve on the outside of the pool wall, then disconnect the inlet hose, then connect my vacuum hose?

I recently purchased an Intex sand filter for my AGP to replace the stock paper cartridge filter (I hoping this greatly improves the quality of my water). My question for the forum is, how do I utilize the sand filter to vacuum my pool? I don't have a skimmer attached to my pool, but I did...
