What head came with your SRM-225? I imagine it was a bump type head that came with it base on what I saw at my local Echo dealer.

I've seen a few of those in out pool and skimmer this year. Mean looking pinchers.

I've had to pump mine down twice in the last month due to rain. No runoff can get into the pool thankfully, so just clean rainwater. Though I do need to bring my CH and CYA levels back up to normal, but I may have to hold off since there's more rain in the forecast for the weekend.

You can... just don't count on the toilet's hardware to like it very much. The metallic stuff will start to corrode, and the rubber seals will degrade as well. But on the bright side, the bowl will be sparkly clean. :D One other thing, the Clorox toilet tablets are 3.5 oz and last for 3 months...

Echo's are awesome! The straight shafts seem more awkward for edging. You have to hold them sideways and angle them in to keep the line perpendicular. A bit trickier. My curved shaft, I just flip upside down and spin the D handle around and stand behind it. Seems simpler that way :)

I did my weekly test, brushed the pool, and changed out the skimmer sock this morning. Added CYA for the first time ever to bring that back up (was somewhere around 10).

Tastes like chicken! I get the little frogs in our pool. Unfortunately, they get in, but can't get out and I find them dead later. Thankfully not many of them them, and I've yet to see a bullfrog.

Ours was in the mid 60's two weeks ago, even hit 63º during a warm spell in February. We had our first swim last weekend. Our boys were having a water gun fight in the backyard. I surprised one by picking him up and tossing him in! Water was low 70's so we didn't stay in too long.

I suppose a plaster pool has it's advantages for dealing with hooks. Nice to see I'm not the only one with this idea. :)
