This is the first I've heard of the 25 ml sample size option. Are there any other instructions for using this option? How much of the powder is recommended with this amount? 2.5 heaping spoonfuls? ;)

Why can't it "sit there without pump running" if it doesn't all dissolve the first day (without running pump overnight)?

It sure seems convenient to tie my sock up after filling it with CYA and drop it in the skimmer basket, but someone in another forum said you shouldn't do that? Is that true? If so, why not?

I'm frankly frustrated by the ambiguity of these instructions, and I don't think the original poster is being "nitpicky" at all. What does "if your TC level is very high" (how high?), "you *may* need more" (how much more?), "simplest to always add a bit too much" (how much is "a bit"?) really...

No autofill. Just using the hose periodically and occasional rain water. What about measuring CYA at FC shock level? That's when I got the 20 (down from 50 or 60).

I seem to be having trouble keeping my CYA level up above 50. (It dropped to 20 in just months.) Is there anything that affects the CYA level besides losing water from the pool and replenishing from tap, rain, etc. (like high pH or TA, or anything)??

I've read that testing pH is not possible while shocking. Are there any other tests that are influenced or made invalid by shocking that we should know about? Can we trust every other test while shocking besides pH?
