    Do quality water bags exist?

Looks like i'll be saving up chlorine jugs for next year. I had a few set aside, but not nearly enough for this year.

    Do quality water bags exist?

I don't need them to last year after year, I"m just sick of 1/2 the bags leaking when I go to fill them up.

    Do quality water bags exist?

I'm getting sick of going to close the pool with a whole new batch of water bags and having 1/2 of them leak out of the box. I was getting them at Ocean State Joblot. This year I got them at Leslie's this year and the closures are nicer, but still half of them leaked. I'm about ready to just...

My pool will be closed for about a month.

If you've been thinking about getting a robot you might want to go for it now. It will help filter the water some and help circulate it. Unless people think the debris from the construction would be bad for the robot?

    Pool liner

I want to hear the answer on this as well. My liner is rough looking, but no leaks. I think its a similar age, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I'm inclined to let it go until it starts leaking.

    Pond or Pool

I would try opening earlier. Keep an eye on your water temps too. This spring was a little weird here, my temps actually got up over 60 in early may and have now dropped back into the 50s from our recent cold snap.

Should I cancel my pool company opening??

Closing intimidated me a little because I was afraid of freezing and damaging plumbing, but opening was pretty straight forward. (closing also went fine, but I did pay someone to do it the first year)

    Attempted Opening-Pump Won't Prime

One of the unions. I'm not sure what was wrong before, but I unscrewed it and relubed the o-ring and put it back together.

Great success this evening. Pump is going, chlorine has been added. Now I just need to change so I can brush and vac.

    Attempted Opening-Pump Won't Prime

That is correct, I filled up the pump and, the bottom half of the filter. Everything is out. Return lines are unpluged with eyeballs back in, skimmer is gizmo free, and the plugs from the pipes by the pad are out. I will go back tonight and recheck the lid and the o-rings in the unions...

    Attempted Opening-Pump Won't Prime

I tried to open my pool yesterday, and my pump won't prime. When it's turned on it looks like its starting to draw water but then then the water all drains out faster then it comes in. The pump was in a detached garage all winter, and I realized yesterday that I missed one of the drain plugs...

    Pool opening: manual vacuum needed?

I'm not very smart and would probably jump in :) Good open water swim practice.

Cost to pay someone else to open the pool?

That sounds high if its just an opening. I got papers in the mail from the people who closed my pool and I think it was under $400. Included removing and storing the cover, reinstalling all the equipment that is in my garage right now, and whatever they do for the first dose of chemicals, and...
