Questions about a Hayward Heatpump Heater

Thinking thru this further, if you ran the pump on high at 100GPM, would you just open the bypass half way?

Questions about a Hayward Heatpump Heater

This is great advice, thank you! I will be putting a bypass in when I do the plumbing. Any thoughts on the pumps GPM flow rate when its running on Low? I wish I could find the spec for this! Also if the pump is pushing 100GPM on high, I assume it will create back pressure. Is the norm to run...

Questions about a Hayward Heatpump Heater

Hello All! I picked up a 1-2 year old Hayward Heatpump last night, the model on the tag is HCB95BTA and I have a couple of questions. I was able to get the user manual from Haywards website and am learning quite a bit. One of my questions is they specify the need to have 2ft of clearance on all...

3 Month old Hayward Pump not starting

I talked with hayward yesterday, and was referred to one of their local "authorized warranty" shops. After further digging, it seemed like they were going to require that I take the pump in somewhere, which I really don't want to do since everything is hard piped. I ended up doing some...

3 Month old Hayward Pump not starting

Good Evening, We've been running our pump 24x7 on the low speed pretty much since it got installed at the end of May. No issues whatsoever. Then tonight, I go to move the pump from low speed to high, as we had a tree trimming company out today to trim back some oaks. The pool was still clean...

Thank you again for the help! That article certainly makes this easier. :) I didn't see any reference to how much chlorine I will need. Is there some sort of calculator?

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

The TF-100 seems to be what I need, so I'll get one ordered, thanks for sharing. Is there a preferred shop (online maybe) to pickup supplies from? I assume once I test, I'm going to need to make some additions. Also best place to get FC?

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

Done! Thanks. What does FC stand for? I assume once filled, I might be well served to take a sample to the local pool store for other additions?

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

I went ahead and ordered the dual Pentek big blue filter setup and will plan on doing my top up's via these filters. I've also located a water delivery service that can deliver 14,000 Gal to me for right around 1k. The SWG instructions show that I'm going to need to dump in a little over 400lbs...

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

Thanks for the guidance. Someone mentioned earlier about trucking iron free water in for the fillup. Would it be safe to do the initial fill that way, and then use the well as needed for top up's?

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

Not to my knowledge. The original house was built in the 50’s. I don’t believe it has any pvc until after the pump. I will check into the water truck option as well. I’m glad I asked the question. :)

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

Great! Thank you. I wasn’t sure if the 1.5hp was to much but being that it has 2 speeds, I figured I’d run it on low for the most part. We live on the river and have a very good well. It certainly has higher iron and calcium but it’s not terrible. In my opinion it’s the best tasting water out...

New AGP Owner - Looking for advice on Pump and Filter

Brand new pool owner here, just ordered our Saltwater LX 18x33x54, Approx 14,000 Gallons. I also just placed our order for the CircuPool Edge 40 SWG. I'm seeking advice / opinions on this Hayward Pump/Filter. Is the 1.5HP to large for a pool of this size? I really like having the 2 speeds to run...
