intelliflo clock resets when power is out. Which module do I replace?

From what I read and looked at it is, around 400ish. It's a little ridiculous to invest that into the pump. Thought it'd be a cheaper fix but oh well. It'll be the next homeowners headache.

intelliflo clock resets when power is out. Which module do I replace?

The keypads maybe 150 bucks which is fine, if its the drive its around 700 which makes little sense.

intelliflo clock resets when power is out. Which module do I replace?

Have a Intelliflo VSP who has that ridiculous clock reset when power out issue. I'm looking to find the part to fix/replace it but apparently have 2 options. Do I replace the Drive itself? (Believe part is 356880z), or the keypad assembly (believe its 357527Z). Dunno where this failed...

Logistic question, how far/long of a run of pipe should be between the pool pump and the filter

Well my plan is to put a jandy valve before or just after the pool filter so I can dump water from the pool when needed. Come to think of it, I will put the valve after the filter. Whenever I aim to clean it, shut off pump, take off cover, shift valve to the drain pipe. System should pretty...

Logistic question, how far/long of a run of pipe should be between the pool pump and the filter

This is more of a "what is the answer/fact" question. So I am going to replace my pool filter with a cartridge filter (TY for that recommendation also). I have space next to my pump (its perfect pool filter size space), but I don't believe there will be a very long run from my pool pump to...

Looking to replace a Hayward Microclear Stainless Steel II 72 DE filter with a Pentair Quad DE filter. Size question.

hmm. Never considered a straight cartridge filter. I'll look into them. So looking at the Clean & Clear Plus Cartridge Filter 420 ft2 or the Clean & Clear Plus Cartridge Filter 320 ft2 Considering the literal max flow of my pool is .. 30 gallons, and that's going to rocket down. Would...

Looking to replace a Hayward Microclear Stainless Steel II 72 DE filter with a Pentair Quad DE filter. Size question.

so my Hayward is looking to go the way of the do-do (been there probably since the pool was installed in 75). Trying to figure out which size works. The Quad D.E. 60 or the Quad D.E. 80. Pools 30k gallons, with a variable speed on 24/7. Average flow off the meter's looks to be 30 gallons a...

Do I need skimmer diverter valves if main drain is plumped separately?

From what I see, no. They seem to be connected via somepipe underneath the pool. There are no mysterious holes that I can see. Thank you.

Do I need skimmer diverter valves if main drain is plumped separately?

1 valve for both skimmer, 1 valve for the floor drain, 1 valve for the spa. The floor drain is not plumbed to the skimmer.

Running pool equipment year round in winter / keeping small in ground pool open all year in Ohio

Your natural gas bill is going to be enormous. I have a 30k pool, and to heat it daily costs roughly 20 dollars. Assuming you do the same, your natural gas bill would come to maybe 5 bucks daily, or 150 dollars a month during the winter running it 24/7. Assuming no breakdowns.... And...

Do I need skimmer diverter valves if main drain is plumped separately?

I have three returns coming from the pool, the skimmers are 1, the main drain is number 2, and the drain for the spa is the third. The spa and main drain has their own valve. The main drain and the skimmer valve are always open. Do I need skimmer diverters (UFO's?) Thanks.

Planning on Changing Pool Filter, the Pentair Quad DE filter (question on valve selection).

Just what I am looking for. I have to replace the old pull valve diverter I have with the original filter regardless so i will be plumbing one in to it regardless. Thank you again.

Planning on Changing Pool Filter, the Pentair Quad DE filter (question on valve selection).

So i know the Pentair Quad DE needs a specific type of valve, but does one exist (that works), which allows me to drain some pool water without having to backwash the DE filter itself (from what I have read, some people complain about the Pentair Quad DE filter and that the grids blow out if you...

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

Just tested the system. No leaks. Flow meter shows I am at 30 gpm at 1250 rpm. That should be enough to activate the flow switch on the swg. Thank you for the advice on the curved drain piping. In the end it wound up being much better.

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

quite simply, it all wont fit (two tee's, a flow switch, a flow meter, and the swg won't all fit in that section of pipe horizontally. chopped it all out, updated the fit. Decided the booster pump did not need to go at the top anymore, and found a good home for the flow switch. Thoughts?

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

I am no expert, but from what I can see.. no. I cannot find any information whether the water should flow 1 foot above or 20 feet above. The only mention of anything has to do with the flow switch and they recommend about a foot's worth of straight run before it (but Even Circupools vertical...

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

Space. I have two tees (one for booster, one for stenner pump), a flow valve (I want to know my gallons per minute), a flow switch and a swg. It was not going to all fit in my original run.

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

I know. Just you don’t know something is wrong until you do it and someone mentions it. Been planning this piping for a month and saw nothing about dwv. Just annoyed. Least I can save most of it. Will chop off the elbows and install the flow valve I didn’t do. Probably rebuild the top now...

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

... I am going to yell at that YouTube guy who screamed “sweep elbows” without saying “except that type”. I am then going to yell at HD for putting two different types on the same shelf.... I’ll build it again when it explodes... It does explain why those elbows were shallower. Either...

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

Completed the setup. Feedback would be appreciated. Notes from install. 1) don’t glue at least one pivot joint per section. Had to add a coupling to turn the entire thing about 5 degrees. 2) measure. Don’t eyeball height. Was off about 2 inches. 3) hacksaw works wonders for small pieces

Thinking of switching from DE to cartridge - opinions?

You might backwash, 3 to 4 times a year... you might break down the de filter once a year... The maintenance would probably be the same unless these cartridges are magic. What’s the separator (I am guessing this is where the pain is).

Cool. I’ll work on the build this weekend and snap some shots of my terrible skills.

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

It’s a stenner pump. I’ve had it plumbed this way for months with no issue. It’s been pushing chlorine into the pool. It is not a passive system.

Building a vertical kit for swg, weight concern.

I am going to build a vertical kit for a swg (circupool). Just have two questions. 1) would sweep elbows be a better option than the direct 90 elbows for flow? 2) the vertical kit is suspended in the air... I am slightly concerned about weight. I will attach a photo. There anything I...

    Equipment Bonding

It probably should, you could probably attach a new lug, or you could just say “eh, when it rusts I’ll buy a new one”. I am far from any authority on this though.

checkvalve prior to salt water generator

perfect. Will plum it there and save the space. Thank you.

checkvalve prior to salt water generator

I don't think I've ever seen checkvalves after a filter and before a heater (I wasnt sure if it was a issue of flow or more of why in the world would I even do that).

checkvalve prior to salt water generator

I have a literal 12 to 15 foot run of straight plumbing I can plum the checkvalve to right after the pool filter and before the heater. I kind of don't want to do that but optimally its the easiest and most straight forward place to plumb into.
