If you have the idiotic vacuum relief feature on those Intex valves, as I do, you have to have the clear rubber cap that goes onto the nipple to stop air from entering the system. They are easy to lose and I almost threw mine away when installing the pool, not knowing exactly for what they used.

It depends on how long you see yourself sticking with this pool. I had one for two years before we upgraded to the larger Ultra Frame with a Hayward pump and filter. The little Intex pump is just a lot more filter cleaning.

Bingo. I'm just trying to keep things as uncomplicated as possible, and cluttering up the deck area with a skimmer doesn't fit that description. I'm wondering if anyone has both a TTW skimmer and the PoolSkim. Do they compliment each other or work against one another?
