Dolphin Active 30 Troubleshooting Tips Needed

Thanks. That's what I'm debating now. I reached out to Marina to see what the price would be for the part and their current robot offerings.

Dolphin Active 30 Troubleshooting Tips Needed

My apologies for taking so long to respond when you were helping. We ended up having a family medical emergency that recovery has taken up all of my time and I am now playing catch-up. Swivel was clean and no signs of water intrusion. Cord measured about 0.3 Ohms of resistance, so that was...

Dolphin Active 30 Troubleshooting Tips Needed

Thank you very much for the help. I'll try taking apart later today and test the continuity. It is a swivel cable (that barely ever swiveled), so I'll check there for corrosion. I'll also look for my better multitester to recheck the power supply, but I did not double-check on a new battery...

Dolphin Active 30 Troubleshooting Tips Needed

Power supply is producing 26.1 VDC. When I try the bench test, the power supply flashes blue twice, quickly, then paused for a few seconds and flashes blue twice (quickly) again, in that cycle for a few reps.

I did not. I'll do that and report back.

Dolphin Active 30 Troubleshooting Tips Needed

I've had my Dolphin Active 30 for about 2.5 years (purchased from Marina). It has been a great pool cleaner up until it stopped working completely. I checked the impeller and that was completely clear of obstructions. When I press the power button on the power supply, it he power ring and the...

    Hard dig complication Arizona

I just read through this thread and I really felt for you while reading it. Hard digs on my cul de sac were $5k to $8k for 5' sports pools. My street was blasted out of the side of a granite hill, so was really not looking forward to the cost of a hard dig for my 6' deep pool. I did an OB, so...

Building a pool and nervous to make the wrong decisions

The globrite to microbrite adapters are probably because the Pentair color LED bubblers use a globrite by default and this way you can use a microbrite in the bubblers (which is a good thing). I agree with @ajw22 and would recommend getting multiple microbrites instead of 1 intellibrite. My...

    Polywood Furniture

I used the chat function to contact and it was pretty quick. Just need the serial number on the product to get it sorted quickly.

    Polywood Furniture

When I opened up my Polywood Adirondack chairs, 1 of the chairs was missing 2 screws on one of the slats on the chair. I had built one of them a couple of weeks before and opened the 2nd one Memorial Day weekend, so the customer service line was closed. I took one of the screws out, went to...

Newb OB with BYOP in Buckeye AZ - Completion and wrap up

I didn't get my equipment from them, but I used them for my O/B and I was very happy with them. They gave me the idea to use one of my microbrites to uplight the interior of my grotto and it looks awesome on the waterfall at night.

    Waterfall Cost??

I did an owner-build last year and this waterfall/grotto/waterslide combo cost significantly less than $30k including the additional artificial rocks around the pool. Being in Mesa, you actually have a few more options than I do in Goodyear (due to service area). I have some contractor names...

    IntelliCenter 2.006 Firmware

I was one of the lucky ones that had issues trying to rollback. I had to actually rollback further than 1.064 and then OTA upgrade to 1.064 (1.064 reversion didn't work the first time (rebooted into 2.06) and then was no longer available. Worked after that, but I was nervous about bricking it...

    Polywood Furniture

Thanks for the advice earlier on the colors. I ended up ordering 2 of the Polywood Long Beach Adirondack chairs in white for our baja ledge while they were on sale at Costco. They were just delivered today. I quickly assembled one after dinner and placed it in the pool for my wife to try...

Newb OB with BYOP in Buckeye AZ - Completion and wrap up

I forgot to mention that with the 4 microbrites, your pool should be plenty bright. I have 4 microbrites as well (1 baja ledge, 2 pool body, and 1 uplighting my grotto/waterfall) and the only color that does not seem to have adequate coverage is red in the main body. Everyone else thinks it...

Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

That looks so much better, especially in the curves. That looks like a job the contractor can be proud of now. Absolutely agree with the making them fix their work. There was a miscommunication on my deck where they didn't have it extending past one side of my original patio, but we go t it...

Newb OB with BYOP in Buckeye AZ - Completion and wrap up

I've always seen pdfs as attachments. Is there a reason you want the Intellichlor in front of the potential chiller? It has been a while since I looked at the glacier manual, but I would think that would add to potential corrosion. On the equipment side, I would recommend the 520 filter and...

Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

I agree with @kimkats and @Newdude. The length of the tile will make curves difficult, but the angles and uneven ends do not look good. I could understand the uneven ends if they were ending in a curve, but not like the ones you posted.

Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

Yeah, I've read quite a few posts by onBalance and he is very knowledgeable on the topic when researching my build, but none of this applies to me personally as I do not have any issues with mottling or streaking on the pool surface. I also do not have any of the craters and pockets that are so...

Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

I don't disagree at all with that, but I had never heard anything like this before in any of my research here. It was already difficult before if you did not follow their startup procedures and had documentation proving it, but non-disclosed limitations is specifically problematic. Plus, the...

Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

I am so glad to see an update on this. I was just looking at a few of the threads I was following during my build and quite a few have stalled. Glad to see there was quite a bit of progress in the background. The deck looks great! I also see the 2 multicyclone filters in the background. I...

    Polywood Furniture

My wife and I are trying to decide on some poolside furniture and are leaning towards the Polywood Long Beach Adirondack Chairs that are on sale right now at Costco. She really wants Navy chairs and they seem to be a really good price for Polywood. Our pool has only been filled since last...

Newb OB with BYOP in Buckeye AZ - Completion and wrap up

Hey Schwimmbad. I'm not too far from you in Goodyear and I just finished an Owner/Build in August. I used a different consultant for my pool, but probably have some of the same subs on the recommended list. It's a good idea to have the rough-ins for the heater and chiller before committing to...

Travertine Coping Shape on Freeform Pool

My father-in-law's pool has eased edge travertine coping (12" x 12" coping size) on a freeform pool and the coping size makes the curves look not as smooth and leaning against the edges on the sun shelf or the benches is not very comfortable. We went with 6" x 12" bullnose travertine for our...
