Intex Ultra Frame Rectangular Above Ground Pool, 24' x 12'

Re: Intex Ultra Frame Rectangular Above Ground Pool, 24' x 1 Intex makes different packages for each size pool. Some include the Salt Water Generator, some include a sand filter, some include both, and some come with a smaller cartridge filter. No way to guess what this particular one will...

    Couple Intex Questions

I have the 22' x 52" intex and while the rope was included, it's just loosely tied around the pool. I wouldn't worry over it. I used the 1/2" foam from Lowes and it works just fine. John

    How strong are Intex walls?

Pushing off the walls is OK, IMO. Just not the legs. I have dogs that swim with us and the walls are plenty tough to withstand their nails. John

    out of LEVEL AGAIN

I'm guessing the pool legs are sitting on the ground. If so, there's your problem and you will be fighting this from now on. The pool legs need to be sitting on a stable surface. Most of us use concrete paver blocks. Mine are on 12" x 12" x 2" blocks. You want to dig down on the high side so...

New Intex pool owner, need some help

Welcome to TFP, Artzechck3. I had about 2" of sand under my first pool. My reasoning was to have the pool floor on something that contained no sharp objects. Roots, rocks, nails, bottle caps, etc. Spent a lot of time sifting through the sand. It worked pretty well, though there were places...

    Rust starting on intex ultra

Salt may or may not be contributing. Water + metal = rust. Intex pools are inexpensive, to say the least and I don't think they put a lot of rust inhibitors on these pools. Also, the salt concentration in a salt water pool is pretty low. Take care of the rust spots the same as you would on...

Do you need the rope at the bottom of an Intex Ultra Frame?

Re: Do you need the rope at the bottom of an Intex Ultra Fra My first pool needed ratchet straps. Legs spayed out like an overloaded pack mule. My current pool does not have that problem and i have the rope loosely tied. I can't figure the difference between the two. Both use the same pad...

Hayward skimmer thru intex wall. Any tips?

I have read many threads on this topic, and most replies include instructions to cut the butterfly gasket in half. I had the hayward skimmer on my previous 18 x 52 pool (3 yrs.) and have one on my current pool ( 1 yr.). I didn't cut the gasket, just installed it on the water side of the pool...

    Help please!!!

I have the 2000 gal/hr intex pump/swg and have been more than a little surprised in it's performance. At this point, I would have no problem ordering another, especially at the prices they are being offered for at the end of the season. They seem to have made some improvements in the latest...

    POols up!

Finished filling this morning and added about 50 oz. of 6% bleach. Then I worked on the 4x4 deck / stair a little and swam a little. Not a very productive day, but it was really nice to be able to jump in when it got a little hot. Test numbers from tonite are: TC 0 - added 50 oz. bleach to get...

    POols up!

http://www.meijer.com/catalog/product.j ... oryId=1993 This is where I got mine. It was on sale until the first week in August, $630 and free shipping. The week after I ordered mine, they sent me a 15% off coupon, but wouldn't apply it retroactively. The shipping took a few days shy of 1...

    POols up!

Thanks for the suggestions, maybe I will wait and see on the acid, but I thought TA was pretty important for a SWG. Ended up draining the pool today anyway. The frame twisted while the pool was being filled. I saw it happening as I was filling, but had no idea just how much it would twist...

    POols up!

The pool arrived this morring, and despite my best efforts, I managed to fubar the install. I had carefully measured, placed, and dug out my concrete blocks for the pool legs to sit on, and somehow devided 18 by 2 and got 8. When I had finished pre-assembling the top ring, I noticed the legs...

    Hydromatic cartridge filters

Anyone know anything about these cartridge filters? As far as I can tell, they are manufactured by the same company that makes Pentair. What, if any, problems would I need to watch for, especially at this price? They also seem to be called Sparco Hydromatic or just Hydro...

    It's hot in Houston

Hello everyone. My name is John and I live in Houston. My wife has been bugging me about a pool for a couple of years now, but I have been less than interested. Just didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a white elephant the never got used and sucked up all my spare time and money. My...

I like it! Nice job, but if you had made the support a little larger it could have held the beer cooler.

Does American Home Shield (AHS) cover pool equipment?

First post here and I already seem to be in the minority. Oh well, I have had AHS for 6 or 7 years and have had them come out probably 10 times. Some of the work I could do for the $60, but as I get older, my time becomes more valuable. I have had them replace the dryer belt twice. Repair the...
