When I started, I added 4 gallons of bleach, an 2 hours later I was still at 1.5 FC... I added another 4 gallons... Only at that point did I see the FC increase. Kept brushing every hour and adjusted the FC one more time. This morning the pool looked great!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

thanks, pool is already looking much better, no more green, and just tuned off my swg. i will test again in about an hour (for the last test tonight). ill take a picture tomorrow. I might need to add some more stabilizer, as its reading 35 appreciate all the help

ok, my PH is now at 7.2, and i found the 4 lb Clorox stabilizer at lowes, i have 3 lbs in a sock (in the skimmer basket) ....should i start the slam process, or wait till i get a good CYA reading? I also back washed DE this morning

can i start slamming when the CYA...wont register....i see the black dot with the thing full?

im pretty new to TFP, so waiting on my test kit in the mail. I did run it up to the pool store for a reading (3000). Im not really sure how to turn the swg off? - - - Updated - - - i guess i could just unplug it?

How often does the intellichlor give a reading to the easy touch diagnostics, I added 150 lbs of salt last night, and my reading still says 1550. i cleaned it before i started, and she was reading 100, i added 150 lbs...that brought it up to 1550, then the following day added another 150...

the last time i cranked up the heater...it was making all sorts of loud noises. I dont have a spa, and for the most part, we don't use the heater (the gas bill gets pretty expensive). Im not sure if im up for tackling it just yet, as still trying to learn the basics on the pool chemistry...
