    Cartridge filter sealed shut

I do plan on trying this but I wouldn't want to do it until I have a new O-ring correct? Other wise I wont be able to seal it again and run the filter. I didn't even think about the fact that there should have been an o-ring there and I assume that the filter has not been cleaned in a very long...

    Cartridge filter sealed shut

Alright so here is an update. I opened the air valve which released maybe a second of air (no vacuum sound) and then took out the drain plug and let all the water drain. Unfortunately the lid still wont budge. And just to clear things up again the lock ring (black outer ring) does come off...

    Multiport Valve

Need helping figuring out my equipment. We just bought a new house with a pool and after all my research can't seem to figure out how my system works. It is pretty old (house was built in the late 60's which I am pretty sure was when the pool was built as well) and currently has a sand filter...

    Stained Walls

Newbie here! We just bought a new house and lucky us it has a swimming pool! It is a beautiful pool but has yellow stains all over the concrete walls. I do not think it is algae as it is not slimy, does not scrape off or have any texture, and does not appear to affect the water at all. All...
