    New pool is up!

Pool was disassembled and being stored in a trailer when we purchased. And actually the ppl we bought it from had bought or got it and never set it up because It was too large for their area. So we really took a gamble purchasing :) since the wall was rolled up in a coil, we had no way of...

'Less is more' winterizing plan. Thoughts?

We had an intex pool last year and just left it uncovered. Now we just put up a metal wall pool and am also considering my options for winter. I am in ND where we can see tons of snow. I am really considering not covering as well.

    New pool is up!

We worked our butts off this weekend but got the pool up and landscaping done! Its a 24' Vogue pool we bought used. Don't know the model, if anyone has a clue on that, I'd love to know :) A great upgrade from our 22' intex ultra frame that was destroyed when a tree fell on it a year ago. We...

    Pool cove help

Thanks kimkats, putting the cove on the wall and pushing sand up against and under it may be the best option I have. The next problem I run into then, is how to make a floor pad work with that set up.

    Pool cove help

Got my cove in the mail. Here is a pic of what I am questioning. You can see that if placed at the ground, there is about an inch of space where it would need to meet the wall. If I hold it up to where it should attavh to the wall, it does not hit the floor. So what is the best solution for this?

    Pool cove help

We just got a new (used) pool and I am ordering the parts I need. A liner and cove is on my list but I want to make sure I am ordering the right things :) Anu pics of cove I see being attached are on a pool with a straight metal bottom ring. My pool is resin and the bottom ring has a flare to...

    Storing pool for winter question

We had the same type of situation last year. We ended up leaving it up for the winter and moving it in the spring.

EDIT: Intex pool destroyed (pic), bought a used pool

So last week we had a tree fall on and destroy our 22x52 intex ultra frame :( Yesterday my husband picked up a used 24x52 pool he paid $600 for. I'm hoping this was a better decision than buying a new pool of another brand for around 1200. Not exactly sure what model it is but looks to have...

    Freezing temps tonight and pump

Our pool is all set up for the season and now we are going to get below freezing the next couple of nights. What is the best thing to do with the pump? Disconnect and bring inside? Or will having it run all night keep things from freezing up inside the pump?

Pool cover for 22' round intex pool

We have a 22' ultraframe and I am having a hard time finding a covet that size. I would like to find a solar cover if the price isn't too high. If I get a solar cover, can I buy a 24' and make it work? Maybe cutting it down to size or would it work to leave as is?

    Roots

Over the weekend we drained and moved our pool to level the ground a little better and I was shocked at how many roots were under there! I have thick black rubber used for making large industrial conveyer belts under my pool so I am not worried about them growing through at all, but would be a...

Intex owners: did you leave yours up over the winter?

We got a new ultra frame last summer (2015) and decided to leave it up. I am in North Dakota where everything freezes solid for months during the winter. Just checked it this morning and ice is almost all the way off and no problems that I can see! Pic is from the winter. Snow and ice is now gone :)

making an adaptor for intex sand filter to garden hose

Thanks! Yes it is leaking where the adapter screws to the tank. The guy at the hardware store glued and taped all the pieces making up my "adapter". I can handle a small leak while vacuuming the pool. I'm guessing the threads are different? i don't want to ruine the threads on my sand filter...

making an adaptor for intex sand filter to garden hose

I am trying to find a way to hook my cheapie intex vacuum (cheapie that came with pool) up to my sand filter without the wait time of ordering new parts. Here's my situation. We have cottonwood trees that are doing their thing right now so every morning I am having to vaccum tons of tiny little...

New pool is a lot of hard work!

I have not ordered a test kit yet but do plan to after I finish up the stuff I have now. With the TF100, how much comes with it? Is it enough for a season? I looked at the site but just briefly.

New pool is a lot of hard work!

Here are a couple photos of the rubber I will be using. Once we laid it out we realized that was only half the amount we need to cover the entire area so I'm waiting on a friend to get me more hopefully later today :)

New pool is a lot of hard work!

This year we decided to upgrade from our Intex ring pool to a 22x52 ultra frame! Our old one was just sat up on the grass but wanted to make sure we did a proper install for this one. And because of the larger area it will be covering, we had/have an issue with the ground sloping slightly. We...

    New from North Dakota

Just want to say how happy I am that I have found this fourm! It has already been so helpful in getting ready for our new pool. Pretty sure I will be coming here often:) The past couple weeks we have been getting ready to set up our new 22x24 ultra frame. The weather and our rock hard clay...
