    New water help

Just filled our pool with the hose. Testing my water I am coming up with around a total alkalinity reading of around 20. (Water turns red after 2 drops using the TF100) Using the pool math I am coming up with about 10 lbs of baking soda needed. Does this seem right for tap water? Am I on the...

    Aqua Pro ECO500 questions

Just installed ECO500 yesterday and I can't seem to figure it out. Instructions are horrible at best. My question is, does the timer have to be set in order for the heat pump to run? Reason I ask is because we set it for 82 degrees, did not set the timer, and went to bed. Woke up, not running...

    Hayward Power Cord

Is anyone using the original 6ft #14 awg 3 prong cord that comes with the most Hayward pumps? The tag states it is just for testing the pump and a permanent 3ft, #12 awg plug needs to be installed. I already have the Hayward Aqua Trol that is straight blade and not twist lock so I can't change...

    Aqua Trol Grounding

Yep haha. Definitely no need to double ground the same terminal lol

    Aqua Trol Grounding

I just opened up my unit and the green terminal they are talking about is already connected to the green wire from the power cord as well as the green wire for the 115v outlet on the bottom of the box. If I knew how to add a pic I would lol

    Aqua Trol Grounding

I agree not very clean to have a green wire coming out of the case. I assumed it was the same as a 3 prong pump and just grounded through the GFCI.

    Aqua Trol Grounding

I have the hp model straight blade plug. Here is a copy and paste from the manual: A green colored terminal marked "Earth Ground" is located inside the wiring compartment. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this terminal must be con- nected to the grounding means provided in the elec- tric...

    Aqua Trol Grounding

Installing a new Aqua Trol and the instructions state to connect the green ground terminal to the ground in the service panel. Isn't the SWG already grounded to the panel through the 3 prong plug and GFCI?

    AGP Light options

Yeah its frustrating not being able to find a decent led light for above ground pools. There really aren't any good choices.

    AGP Light options

Looks awesome, however we have a resin wall pool and not a soft intex.

    AGP Light options

So what is everyone lighting their AGP's with? Looking for a return fitting mounted LED but the choices seem slim. The Aqualuminator seems burn out quicker than most people would like. What are my options??

    AquaTrol run time?

Does anyone have an AquaTrol and run their filter pump 24/7? How would this work? Would the aquatrol then be running 24/7 as well? Can you run them seperate? Just a little confused before I buy one.

Nice! Now I just have to decide on the Krystalclear or the new model with the ECO

    Which SWG for new AGP

Thanks! It just seems too good to be true. I'm a former service tech for a very high end in ground pool company and the swg we would install were over $1000. So for $99 on Amazon I'm a bit skeptical but like you said, even if it lasts 1 year it's cheaper than chlorine.

    Which SWG for new AGP

Thanks for the replies, maybe I'll try the Intex and if it only lasts a year or 2 it was only $99. Seems worth it to try for that price.

    Backfill AGP questions

Same here. I know from experience you want as much of your walls exposed as possible. You don't wanna have to dig it all up if there is a problem. What I am thinking I'm gonna do is just slope the high side a little more with a shovel and build the deck right over it. Just do plastic, french...

    Backfill AGP questions

Hello, just got done excavating for our pool. We over-dug by about 4 feet. The high side had to be dug down about 3 feet to get it level. My question is should I build a retaining wall or backfill up to ground level? What other options do I have? Thanks!

    Which SWG for new AGP

Just starting to put in a new AGP, 21' 54" round. I'm trying to decide between the ultra inexpensive Intex CG-28669 or the more expensive, but seemingly more reliable Hayward Aquatrol. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? I'm ok with spending the money on the Hayward if it...

Help choosing pump and filter for new AGP

Hello, new to the forum. We are purchasing a new 21' 54" round AGP. The store tried to sell us a filter system as part of a package. The pump was a 2hp 2 speed and the filter was a 200sqft cartridge for over $900. I knew this was too big/too expensive for what we need. I can't find anything...
