    Why is 7.5 the industry standard pH for pool water and not pH neutral 7?

    Really just curious. I understand that the pH of the typical eye is around 7.5, but is that the primary reason? Or is there a more complex reasoning? Or is it easier to maintain TA 50-90 {edited} and pH 7.5?
