Very Different Salt Readings - SWG & Taylor Kit

Ok I was wondering if that was the case. I haven't cleaned it in quite a while. Probably not since last fall. So if I clean it and it starts reading closer to normal, at what salt level will it stop generating chlorine?

Very Different Salt Readings - SWG & Taylor Kit

Re: Very Different Salt Readings - SWG & Taylor Kit The cell is producing chlorine. It's about 4 years old. - - - Updated - - - Does it matter if my salt is that high? Salt is much cheaper than a new cell. I guess the downside is when it does fail I will have to do a partial drain to get...

Very Different Salt Readings - SWG & Taylor Kit

I'm getting puzzling salt level readings from my SWG. I think it's reading way low. Earlier in the spring I added 4 bags of salt. My reading was 2200 I think. That should've put me well over 3000. The reading on my SWG went to about 2900. I didn't really care since it was generating chlorine...

    Dolphin DX3 Power Supply

It appears my Dolphin power supply isn't working. Normally when I plug it in, the power lights come on and the mode light flashes until I select a mode. Then more power lights come on to indicate it's working. Now I only get the power light on, but no mode light. Pressing the power or mode...

    Addicted to TFPC

I think I may have a problem! Ever since I found TFPC, I've been addicted to getting my water perfect. So much so that I've purchased just about everything I could ever use from TFKits. Not pictured is the pressure gauge I also got from them. Anyone else just love playing mad scientist like...

    Cloudy Water.....Again

Also go to your AquaRite display and toggle through the diagnostic readings. Post those here too. Want to ensure your saltwater generator is working properly. My pool only gets cloudy if the SWG stops working for some reason. Multiple reasons for that to happen. Need to find the root cause...

Aquarite Power Light Off - Generating Light On, No Chlorine

Back from vacation. Pool looks great! Here are my test results from 9:00 this morning: FC 7.5 CC 0.0 CH 350 TA 60 CYA 80 pH 7.65 (color in between 7.5 and 7.8) salt 3200 temp 90 While I was gone for the past week, pump was set to run from 8am-8pm. SWG was set at 100%. According to pool math...

    High CH, Fiberglass Pool

Coming down from a SLAM, still dialing in my SWG % and pump run time: 5:45pm yesterday: FC 4.5 CC 0.0 TA 80 CYA 50 pH 7.5 salt 3000 Added 4 lbs stabilizer and 40 lbs salt to raise my CYA to 75 and salt to 3200. Let pump run overnight, w/ SWG set to 100%, to mix. 06:30am today: FC 7.5 CC 0.0...

Aquarite Power Light Off - Generating Light On, No Chlorine

Left the pump running all night to circulate the salt and CYA. SWG still set at 100%. Results from 6:30 this morning: FC 7.5, CC 0.0. Think I may dial it back to 80% before I leave. Edit: I'll leave it at 100%, since I'm right at 10% of 75 ppm CYA. Thanks for all your help. I'll fine tune...

Aquarite Power Light Off - Generating Light On, No Chlorine

Now we're getting somewhere. Tested at 5:45 FC - 4.5, CC - 0.0 Added 4lbs of stabilizer and 40 lbs of salt. That should raise my CYA from 50 to near 75 and salt from 3000 to a little over 3200. I don't want to overshoot either of those. Would it hurt to leave the SWG at 100% for a week? I'm...

Aquarite Power Light Off - Generating Light On, No Chlorine

I know everyone likes pictures, but as an engineer, I also like data, charts, and graphs! As you can see, the FC has been holding steady the past three nights. Hopefully bumping up the stabilizer to 80 will make a noticeable difference during the day.

Water temp is about 85-90º depending on rain, but will get hotter later in the summer. This time of year it gets full sun from around 10am until dark. I'll add CYA this evening.

Aquarite Power Light Off - Generating Light On, No Chlorine

Diagnostics still show similar readings for voltage and amperage. I did another OCLT last night / this morning. 10.0 each time. Water is sparkling, crystal clear. I'll test again tonight and in the morning. Don't know what else to do with the SWG. I'll bump up the stabilizer to 80. If I keep...

Aquarite Power Light Off - Generating Light On, No Chlorine

Here's a graph of my progress. The SWG has been running the entire time, set at 60% until yesterday morning, when I increased the output to 80%. Now that the water is perfectly clear, pump run time was reduced from 24 hrs to 12 hrs. Also added some DE to my sand filter over the weekend...
