Color LED Light Upgrade Option Reviews

I have the exact same issue, main light is leaking through the power cord, need a new fixture. Can you describe the process? Are you having the wire completely pulled and all new from fixture to circuit breaker? Or just cut old fixture off, splice in the new fixture and carry on? Regards,

    Pool Light Leak & Repair

Ok, I tried to get the light working again and now neither the pool or spa light work, maybe I fried the breaker?? So I have two options, let my buddy come over and help, and he says to splice the wire and hook up a thing and go to 12 volt...might be okay... Or I call someone. I live in Katy...

    Salt water/chlorine vs just chlorine

MGood, I have been running a SWG for about 6 months now and have no urge to switch. That being said a buddy of mine uses just chlorine and has a really nice pool as well. When I go out of town it is nice to know that the SWG will be adding chlorine to the pool while I am away, however I am...

New Pool, new methods, waiting for fix....

Have you gone through the SWG manual and identified all the chemistry levels/parameters your salt cell needs to work with? Do not use the salt cell during the SLAM (actually it is probably fine, but you need to test for salt level first, SWG's only operate within a certain ppm salt range), you...

    New pool owner……aaaggghhh

If you have the K-2006 then you have a perfectly good kit that is not too difficult to use, see link below for videos on some of the tests. The sooner you start working with the test kit the better, it takes abit of practice like anything, but its not overly difficult. You can always post back...

Pool thermometer... that last more then a season.....

Working great for me so far, Ambient Weather has a bunch of stuff. http://www.amazon.com/Ambient-Weather-WS-19-8-Channel-Thermometer/dp/B00EYLG4L0/ref=sr_1_95?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1431872194&sr=1-95

    Pool Light Leak & Repair

The pool light had water inside about half way up, I pulled it out and water was coming out of fitting where the power cord goes through to the housing. Ideally I want to put LED bulbs in both pool and spa light fixtures. This looks like a do-it-yourself kind of job, I can pull it all apart...

Thanks for the feedback, I will crack the main drain valve abit and see how that goes.

Regarding the suction from the pool, my suction is set to 100% skimmer...however a buddy of mine is telling me to adjust it to pull from drain as well. Some context: He does everything through Leslie's, tossed his SWG in the garbage when he moved into the newer house (those are **** he says)...

My TF-100 Numbers (with Pics)...Please advise...

I can attest to the 'waiting awhile before adding borates' advice. My pH is still shooting up allot and I feel my total alkalinity was not where it should have been when I added the boric acid, making changes now is more difficult. So yeah, hold off on the borates for a good while. Regards.

    JohnyGluebag's Pool Gong-Show

I just tested the water 3 times, different parts of the pool, and cannot get a reading of any CH. Water evaporation rate is high were I am, the waterline can drop over an inch in 3 days. Does this make any sense to lose CH like this? Or maybe reagent has expired? or goofed up the check each...

THATS WHAT THAT FRICKIN WATER LINE ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE IS RUNNING TOO!!! I never would have figure that out if this would leak would not have happened. Thanks for the advice :D.

The water has come around good, its clear and the FC is slowly coming down (did a bit of a drain to lower the CH); now fiddling with the SWCG to find a setting that only allows a slow drop in FC, so its all good. TA is at 130 and I am working on that with the PH and waterfalls. I really like...

Regarding the plaster, the whole pool looks like the picture below. It sort of looks fine to me but I really do not know. I like the darker bottom colour, but not sure if the dark spots are pool plaster or part of the whatever it is that goes on top. The clouds have rolled in and will not be...

OK, got some test results and added a link to the ongoing tests to my signature. I do not have the 870 powder yet so have no chlorine info from the TF-100 kit, but used the K-1000. It looks as the the pH and chlorine are off the K-1000 scale, picture shown below. Pool Calculator recommends...

Right on. I did not check blend mode, will do that in the morning. There are 2 returns/suction for the pool, one each for the spa. Just realized that in spa mode the SWCG is not in the loop. I ordered some Pleatco cartridge filters off Amazon today, just so I can start fresh and get a good...

Thanks, if it ever stops thunder showering here I will get after it. Test kit not here yet so no data yet. I noticed that the filter pressure reads 16 psi when running just the pool. Then I switched over to running the hot-tub only, and the pressure went up to 28 psi on the filter...not sure...

The test kit is not here yet, but I want to try and work on other things if possible. Does the image below allow for proper ID of the crud forming. I am not afraid to put my back into it and scrub, just do not want to wreck the surfaces of stone/tile. Is there chemical I can apply to help...
