A couple night time pics - still trying to figure out how these LED lights work with my control panel and remote - they can change colors in different variations, different timing and can hold colors...I was able to get these three to hold.

It's a colored Quartz finish. Has black and blue coloring specs in a white Quartz plaster. I'll try to get a better pic of the yard - it's still incomplete, we basically have the decking around pool finished, but lots of desert dirt on each side, no landscaping and still working on ramada...

Ya, looks like I'm going to throw on tile first as I'm using 6x6's - just got to get the setup right so the elevation of the tile comes up to correct height for the coping after the mortar bed is their...lots of fun ahead!!!

Yeah, I'm impressed with this guys work - took them 7 days to do that. Will all look even better when pool is done and water is a flowin!!

Looks good imperator. I've seen it go both ways, install tile then coping (if doing travertine) and coping first then tile - is there really a rule or is it just whatever the installer decides? I'm thinking of doing the coping first, then I have a good level line to work off of for the tiles...

ya, will look into something simple and see what inspector says.. On another topic, anyone installed the tile themselves? what are steps and correct materials to install tile on concrete?? I saw on a site these steps to install glass tile in a pool. #1 apply Laticrete platinum thinset #2...

OK Folks, as you may know in another thread I have, I'm building my own pool. Well, at this stage I really want to DIY, so I'm going to be installing the waterline tile myself. I've owned a tile company and have all the tools to do "normal" tile. So this should not be too bad. My questions...

Well, it's been in 8 days now..Don't think it's fully cured as it's still green on the sides...but I think it's pretty much done cracking.. :( - they are small, but I will still have shotcrete guy's come back out to check them in another week..

New updates - been a few days with no action, but now the grotto/slide/waterfall guys are here and doing there thing - I have to say, it is interesting, seeing how they build this thing. I'm a little nervous, but they know what they are doing and I don't - in the end it should look awesome...

- - - Updated - - - Did have my first hiccup - Steel guys were supposed to show up yesterday and plumbers were going to finish today. They had to have my bar **** wall done before they could finish the plumbing inside it. Steel guys flaked and missed day, so after a few "wife" calls to them...

Plumbing about 80% complete, steel going in as well..

Olliez, checked with both of those companies. Decided to do it all on my own - ownergrown was very pricey, especially for what you get. I got linked up with a good guy to get my design and plans done. He has also helped me get going.. I can PM you his name if you'd like...

Yep, getting excited. Anyone have any sources for the rock work/slide feature? I've only found a couple to get bids on and they are coming in super expensive...

Plumbing is set for Monday - Going with full Pentair setup - variable speed pump and Quad DE 100 filter. No in floor system - had that at a pool in my previous rental house and it just didn't work very well, so doing the pool vacuum setup (pool robot!!!)
