    Grotto Leak

So we are finally in some weather of really using our pool for the first time. I noticed while sitting in the grotto that there is a little water coming through the "roof rock." It is not a ton of water, but wanted to see if this is normal or something we need to remedy?

The concrete is not acid washed. It is simply Rock Salt with a color hardener applied. The concrete company the PB used is http://destinconcrete.com/destinconcrete_colorchart.html They had color charts we looked at. I am told the actual color name you choose can be meaningless as colors are...

Thanks. That was the piece that I probably spent a majority of time on. From design and discussing with different builders. Stone guy who built the bar area had a different vision than the granite guy. There were a lot of working through issues with space and placement on this and I ended with...

Midnight blue, dark blue, light blue and every blue in between?

We are in the same boat as you. Our pool has not be plastered yet, but decided on going with the Tropics Blue Mini pebble. We like the color in pics when tropics blue is at its darkest...but don't like it at its lightest. We like midnight blue, however...when we see pics at its darkest...it is...

Well...things tend to slow down quite a bit in North Texas whenever there is ice/snow. We had a little issue with the outdoor kitchen and the granite that is in the process of being resolved. They also got the fence put back up for inspection and the jump Rock installed. Day whatever...

Thanks guys. Yes, everything has been smooth so far. It is nice to move fast and we are anxious to get grass back down. The only issue with the speed is sometimes do not get much opportunity to check over things before the next step. We discussed changing the design of the cover on a Monday...

Yesterday was the first day that I was home all day while work was being done. I t was kind of nice. They started on the patio cover and the sprinkler crew was there in the afternoon running new sprinkler lines. Day 17 I think they were glad I was there to lend a hand. That is a 22' long...

Pool Quote - Please Review & Input

Even though it is a different design/layout, that looks like a better price and payment schedule than a few quotes I go up in the Dallas area. Compare to others of course. Depending on the location of existing sewer and water...the stub outs alone can get pricey.

Thanks for the tips. I met with PB today and actually discussed a few of these items, like location of the posts, etc. I think they are going to hold off and pour on Tuesday so we can make adjustments Monday. Which is great....gives me all weekend to sit and look at it!

Thought I'd go ahead and show the plans to get an idea of the projects. The covered area over the kitchen should be a little larger and we made some adjustments here and there, but overall mostly the same.

It was initially water twice per day. He said with the incoming front and rain, once would have been fine on the weekend. I watered twice anyways though!
