Easytouch control panel with ic40 cell

Hi Jim R., Do you mind sharing the walk-through for testing the EasyTouch w/ on-board SWCG power with me? My Intellichlor IC40 keeps tripping the little breaker too, and I'd like to isolate whether it's the power supply or cell (both approx. 6 yrs old) before springing for a replacement IC40...

Tip for removing stubborn fiber optic wall fitting??

I just realized I never followed-up on this. I tried the purpose built tool recommended by rccarps2 but the pins bent to about 45 degrees and the fitting didn't budge. After that I got serious. Flat blade screwdriver whacked with a hammer finally got it to start to twist, but it kept hanging...

ION-8000 LED illuminator for fiber optic system upgrade

Which is exactly what I'd like to do...except it would mean tearing out the existing in-wall fittings and conduit, since the conduit behind the 1 1/2" lens fitting is only a 1" diameter and is too small to insert one of the new LED retrofit units into. I figured that the LED illuminator in...

ION-8000 LED illuminator for fiber optic system upgrade

Thanks for the bump! I'm bummed that there wasn't a single response... I was hopeful someone out there had some experience (good or bad) to share.

ION-8000 LED illuminator for fiber optic system upgrade

Greetings, I've searched several ways and not found anything on this topic, so hopefully this hasn't been asked/answered a dozen times already... Does anyone have experience with the ION-8000 LED illuminator for fiber optic pool lights? http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100015077531.htm...

looking for an LED Fiber Optic Illuminator Option

mrpoolman, I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious what your solution ended up being. Do you mind sharing what you came up with? I have a similar situation...my Fiberstars 2008 illuminator was junk when we bought this house. Fiber cables are still in place, but I don't want to replace...

    easy touch

You could also install a indoor control panel which might give you some additional control options over the 4-button spa-side. You'd need to mount it in a weather-protected location, but perhaps inside your shed would work.

EasyTouch Running Pump at Random Times

Pool Clown, That's a great explanation of the features (limitations) of the different settings! I have in-floor cleaning heads, but I didn't want them cycling every 20 mins. I also don't have a separate cleaner pump, as the in-floor heads are plumbed in with the main filter pump and are...

Tip for removing stubborn fiber optic wall fitting??

Hmmm... Since I don't plan to reuse the fiber optic lens or strands, I may just go for a brute-force attack and break it up if needed. My main concern at this point is to avoid damaging the female threads on the in-wall fitting, as I'll need them for the replacement LED unit.

Tip for removing stubborn fiber optic wall fitting??

I have a defunct Fiberstars lighting system in the pool and spa that I will be replacing with a niche-less LED system. I can't get this fitting out from the spa wall. The PVC is just under 2" diameter. Is there a special tool I should purchase? Local pool store guy didn't know what I was...

EasyTouch Running Pump at Random Times

Jim, It didn't seem to fix things at first, but this evening everything shut down at 6PM as it was supposed to, and the 20 hi/20 low cycling seems to have stopped. I'm still scratching my head!

EasyTouch Running Pump at Random Times

Thanks Jim. I did have the cleaner circuit setup as a "Cleaner" function, so I reset it to "Generic." After babysitting this thing all morning and keeping notes, I see that the pump is toggling between the two speeds on 20 minute cycles. I can't see anything in my ScreenLogic setup that would...

EasyTouch Running Pump at Random Times

Good morning Jim, The 3200 rpm speed is set up as an Aux circuit. I've already gone through ScreenLogic and deleted and recreated all of the existing Aux and Feature circuits but it's still happening. I was home part of the day yesterday to observe and it appears as though the pump is kicking...

EasyTouch Running Pump at Random Times

I recently upgraded to an EasyTouch 8 w/ SCG to control my Intelliflo VS pump. I have a schedule set up as follows: 2400 rpm pool filtration 6AM-6PM 3200 rpm in-floor cleaner 7AM-9AM 3200 rpm in-floor cleaner 3:45PM-5:45PM Despite the schedule, I'm noticing that the high speed mode is...

    Easytouch and Mastertemp setup questions

Jim, I've got ScreenLogic up and running. As of this afternoon, most everything seems to be functioning. Now I need to find a suitable LED light to replace the defunct old Fiberstars fiber optic light heads in the pool and spa. I'm thinking their PAL TREO lights, so I can mount them right...

    Easytouch and Mastertemp setup questions

Thanks Jim. That's exactly how I have them connected now. Intake and Return are set up the way I want them. Now on to setting the features so the others do their thing... (Somehow I posted my reply to Paul's message into my reply to your first message... I'm a noob at this forum stuff too...

    Easytouch and Mastertemp setup questions

Jim, Thanks for your input. I ended up wiring the line power for the heater straight to a breaker, and removed the fireman's switch jumper, then a two-wire lead from that to the Heater connection on the ET. Eventually I realized that the manual heat buttons on the MasterTemp unit were not set...

    Easytouch and Mastertemp setup questions

Greetings seasoned experts! So, we bought a house with a pool two years ago. All the equip was a mess, so we replaced what we could afford at the time to get it running. I've been manually controlling everything, so it was time for automation. This weekend I installed an EasyTouch 8SC, with...
