That remaining Baquacil can be quite the pain in the butt. Keep at it, you will love the results. Keep nailing it with bleach and just keep thinking of the fact that you will never need to go to the pool store again. Enjoy your "NEW" pool. :party:

There is no reason that you should be running your filter 24/7. the Baquacil 4-Way Test strips that I had tested for Oxidizer, but would only tell you "add initial dose" or "add maintence dose" which was always. Listen to Horsegal's advice when keeping your filter off when adding Baquacil...

It doesn't sound like you have any major issues, if your filter is maintaining psi. I always went with Robarb Super Blue (as directed) before I tried Baquacil Flocculant (plan B). I spent a lot of years trying different combinations of chemicals to keep my pool clear. At this point, you might...

I could keep it clear with mass quantities of Baqua - Shock for a couple weeks. But I was fighting a chronic case of white water mold for the last 4 or 5 years. Is your filter maintaining psi. I was to the point where I was backwashing 5 times a week.

Looks Great! I converted at the end of May, and when I was able to hold the FC overnight it still took a few more days to get the CC down to (0 - .5) Even though the water was sparkling. You will be glad you did it. Enjoy your "NEW" pool. :party:

Keep at it, you will really be pleased with the end result. I completed my conversion 3 weeks ago with the help of the TFP site and the TF-100. My pool has never looked this good. I've only had to add Bleach, Borax, Muriatic Acid and Baking Soda since! Good Luck! and enjoy your chrystal clear...

I have been using just Clorox Bleach to chlorinate. I will try to lower the TA a bit.

I lowered the PH a bit. I don't know what the CH level is on my fill water, but I haven't had to add any in the last couple weeks because of all the rain that we had.

Since my conversion, I've been holding a CH level of 250 for the last few weeks. I have not added any calcium since the initial dose. Did my weekly test today (using TF-100). Tested the CH level again two hours later and still the exact same result. The pool looks great. FC- 7 CC- 0 PH- 7.7 TA-...

Is it safe to swim when the FC is 10? CC is .5 and everything else is in range (using TF-100)

That's a great price per 182 oz. bottle. I paid $4.28 per bottle and if I wanted to drive another 15 minutes further the best price around was $3.99 per bottle. Good for you!

I'm really close to being done with my conversion. It's been ten days and my CC is down to .5. This is my 15th season and I used Baqua Crud for 14, I saved all my receipts from the pool store and have averaged $800 a season trying to keep the water clear. The pool is open 5 months a year...
