    I purchased the PE653RC

Re: PE653 connection to P4243ME I've successfully installed an Intermatic PE953. Working well, but standalone - I haven't begun integrating it into my Wink hub. Did you have any success in your Z-Wave integration?

Merry Xmas all!! Pool cleaner question

I leave mine in the water 24/7, but I have a valve on a timer to run it just 45 minutes each day. I'm in a screen, so the pool doesn't require much cleaning. The limited run is for two reasons: 1) It takes away from the skimming action and I want to maximize that, 2) pound-for-pound, pool parts...

    I purchased the PE653RC

Re: PE653 connection to P4243ME Update: I bought the new P5043ME that controls solar and I have everything on my wish list. As an option, I also bought a 30000 cabinet and put it all in that box, including a 300w transformer for future outdoor LED lighting.

    Comparing LED light irons

I have a small, 10K, inground pool. It's kidney shaped with the light fixture at the middle, i.e. pointing to the narrow side with the largest parts of the "kidney" to the left and right (I say ask this to explain that I need a light with a broad, not narrow, cast). I definitely want to change...

    I purchased the PE653RC

Re: PE653 connection to P4243ME To add just a bit more. I don't need to control a spa and I'm in Florida so freeze protection is not necessary. Would like it to turn the pool light on/off via timer. In the future, I want to add outside LED lighting. These last two items could be easily...

    I purchased the PE653RC

Jumping in here after 1.5 years... hope some of you are still around :-) . I am going all Zwave in my house, but have a simple Intermatic analog timer that turns my single speed pump on and off. I purchased the PE653RC not really knowing the capabilities but expected to figure it out as I went...

    Necessary to sandblast finish?

For a new PebbleTek resurfacing job, what do I want the contractor to do? Drain and apply over the current dirty plaster or does he need to get any algae spores off the surface first? Is that a chemical or physical (e.g. sandblasting) process?

AquaCal Heat Pump - Keep or abandon?

Thanks. I hadn't considered I could do both.

AquaCal Heat Pump - Keep or abandon?

Orlando area. I've inherited a 9000gal Gunite pool that has an AquaCal heat pump installed in 2001. I had been planning on solar (roof orientation is not ideal, but good enough), but now have to consider whether the heat pump is a better option, considering I don't have to pay to install it...

    Vacuuming out sludge

Gunite, 9000g, cartridge filter, 2" piping I have what I think would be a not-too-uncommon problem, but my search doesn't yield any pertinent posts that address it. I'm inheriting a pool that has been abandoned for 1+ years. I'm going to SLAM it, but that only addresses the chemistry; my...

    Orlando Solar Installer

If you're still watching this thread... I'm considering Superior Solar. A couple of years later now, are you still happy with SS? Do you recall when you selected then if they were price-competitive, or did they command a premium price (which seems be case today)?

    Necessary to sandblast finish?

I'm buying a house with a stagnant pool - hasn't run in months and is dark dark green. The plan is to refinish it regardless of what is under there, so I'm not too worried. One contractor is insisting that the black algae cannot be eradicated by chemicals and will come back through the new...
