Thanks for the help...I will keep my FC @ 7ppm with a CYA of 40...sounds like easy insurance.

So now I maintain @ 5ppm FC and all should be good or should I add a low dose algecide weekly.?

I was doing the OCLT wrong....I was waiting until later in the day to test, not first thing in the morning....must have missed that in "pool school". Tested the water last night ....was a little high @ 18ppm...tested first thing this morning and it was 17ppm....Slam complete.....now just let...

So my CC is @ "0"....but my OCLT needs to be 1ppm overnight...so keep on slamming !! Lesson learned....never neglect the pool because this is a pain in the A## !!

I have looked at dozens of covers and most say 3-4ft overlap...when adding a 4x8 pillow, this will definitely not be enough, I am leaning toward a 30ft cover but dont want a ton of extra cover....am I missing something with my calculations?

I have a 27ft round AGP....ordering a cover and cant decide on the proper size...maybe I am missing something. Most places advertise 4ft bigger diameter than listed size...27'=31'= 2ft on each side.... to compensate for water drop etc.... My dilemma is that my pool is 27 feet with a water drop...

Had a pool installed today...(pics to follow), my question is when can I shut the vacuum off and not get wall wrinkles...? Pool is 27' round(18.5kgallons) and is about 7-8" full. Its raining now and I want to shut it off for the night...should I shut the water off also and start the suction...
