Tabs melt too fast in the hot water. The add CYA and also lower PH. We use Dichlor until CYA is 30 then switch to liquid chlorine aka bleach.

I have an optima 880. The closest you could get with the seat opposite the lounger is putting you feet out and have the calf jets hit behind your knees. You could slide down to get the hammies.

Have you read the stickie at the top of this forum? It's basically the same as a pool only way smaller and things can change fast. Keep an eye on the FC when the kids are in and out. Test and add between usages.

I don't use bromine, but sanitizer first. PH next. Lowering PH will lower TA. At some point there will be an equilibrium between the two. Others will chime in.

Have you tested FC, added LC and tested again to see if you reached your target FC? I use this method to back into a percentage for LC. Effects of adding, change the percentage until you see your ride form the addition.

SLAM level is 10 for up to 20 CYA. Don't go over. When you get out, test. If below 4, you can add dichlor to stay below 10. Don't forget to add the CYA from your doses to your ongoing raising CYA. If above 4, add liquid chlorine.

I would take cya up to 30. You can't measure 25, only 20 or 30. In between is a logarithmic scale. Pour to a line and glance in for the dot.

If not mentioned already, you can turn off your air to the Jets if you are able when you're not in the tub. This helps lower the effects of aeration when your tub runs automatically and you are not in there. This is what I do.

Submersible pump drains the water alot quicker. I have two drain hoses, regular hose type & a larger 1 1/2" valve with a threaded end for a 1 1/2" hose. After a purge I run water thru both but use a pump with a 1 1/2" backwash hose to the street. Takes about 15 - 20 minutes.

You need just enough to keep foaming at bay. If I recall correctly above 100 should do the trick.

Let the spa sit for at least 15 minutes after jets have run to test the Ph.

I thinks it's easier to wipe it up. You don't want the bio film in the shop vac. It would need to be cleaned afterwards.
