I just got an ammonia test and got about 3 ppm. How much more chlorine is this going to take?!?!?!

The pet store didn't have an ammonia test. I've now put 10 gallons of bleach into my pool today and it won't register more than a FC of 2. Is it normal for the delayed ammonia response? When I first started SLAMMING, I was getting FC in the 10-12 range.

I added 3 gallons of 8.25% bleach to bring the FC level up to ~11 ppm. I checked after an hour and the results are as follows: FC: 11 ppm CC: 1 ppm Does it make sense that after one hour of slam, the CC went from 5.5 to 1? I will check again in the morning.

Ok I added 3 quarts of Muriatic Acid. How long should I wait to re-test? Or can I just start Slamming? Since its ~8 PM, should I wait to start slamming until tomorrow afternoon when I have 4+ hours to devote to it? Or can I start it tonight, check it in the morning, and again when I get home...
