I dont think a filter can remove rust, at least not one that would be affordable. You can add a metal sequesterant for iron. As far as the pump and filter go I would keep the one you have, untill they must be replaced.
Normally your vinyl pool could care less about calcium. In your case the calcium is high enough to cause scaling if your Ph and Ta get out of hand. I would change out 40 percent more water, its the easiest and safest option. Your cya is low so at least you won't lose too much.
Cal-hypo is...
Sand filters actually do work better if they are somewhat "dirty", Backwashing should only be done when your pressure increases by the amount stated in the owners manual. For this reason its never a good idea to go very long with a broken guage.
Things I have seen that were causes of sand in...
The reason you can not fill the pump is gravity. Its going to drain back to the pool as fast as you put it in, unless you close a valve on the suction side of the pump. I suspect your pump is just showing some wear. eventually the wear ring will need to be changed or the pump replaced. As long...
Its better to divide your pump time equally in the morning and night. Muratic acid is cheaper than ph down, at least where I live. You wont need it to shock your pool but rather to maintain your ph level and lower your TA.
Your SWG should not be used to shock, use bleach to get it to shock and let the SWG maintain it. You should use muratic acid to bring the ph down, it will have the added benifit of reducing your TA. Use the online pool calculator to get your shock target level. You would be way ahead of the...
Leak detection 350.00 if you find the leak. 70.00 if you dont :hammer:

This is what is currently charged in Natchez, Ms.
In your case I would use the lower of the 2 for a couple of weeks and see if your numbers are closer to reality. We all have to make minor adjustments using the pool calculator. This is due to variables like true water depth at the time of the sample, and imperfections in the pool itself.
Might not help but try turning the unit off at the breaker for 2 min. then turning it back on. Maybe it will reset itself and clear the code. your owners manual is linked below.

First 3 or 4 pages are hard to read but the rest is ok.
mud jacking I believe is the pumping of soil/water mix under a slab to fill in a void. I would think that as long as the pool was filled there would likely be no harm.
If cya is indeed 100 I would drain 50 percent water. If you have plaster then I would be concerned about the calcium being low, otherwise no big deal. The pool calculater is suggesting higher FC because your cya is storing all of it.
Ok cancel the wrecking ball. Your pool is reacting much like it should. Its going to take some time to clear a pool thats been ignored for that long. Filter cleaning , brushing and maintain your shock untill it clears. It may take a week or longer but it will clear.
Yes it will use some FC. I have a lot of trees in my pool area, and keep the polaris running 4-6 hrs a day. Leaves have to be removed from the skimmer basket as well as the polaris bag.
