    Aquabot Breeze 4WD replacement tires/wheels

I have the same issue with mine and the same question on the wheel update. Hopefully someone has had experience with this.

    Bubbles From Only One Return

Here's kind of a strange one: my pool has three returns but only one has bubbles coming from it. I only have one 2" return line from the equipment pad that services all three returns, so if I have a suction-side air leak into the system, why am I only getting bubbles in one place and not all...

Polaris 380 died - Rebuild? Replace? or buy something new?

I would cut my losses, go robot and never look back. So happy I did that very same thing. No more hoping and praying the Polaris gets the gunk. The robot just does it. No drama, just a clean pool every time.

Pump chamber won't fill completely, cavitating all week, no more full pull

If you think the water level is 1" lower than whatever "normal" is, I'd fill to that level and see what happens. That's how my pump acts when water is low. Start with the easy solutions first.

Post Mistakes You Made Before TFPC

I, too, fell "victim" to the pool store "free" testing and e-mail coupons for stuff I didn't need. Biggest mistake, though, was probably putting a few hundred dollars into rebuilding a years-old Polaris 360 only to still have mediocre results. recently replaced that dinosaur with a robot and...

    FAS-DPD Test

Would the same amount of powder be used for both the .5 and .2 resolution tests? It would seem that if you're using a 10ml water sample vs. a 25ml water sample that less powder would be required, though there may not be a proportional relationship there.

    Glass beads in pool

What I CAN say is to be real careful not to run your Polaris until you have the beads out of there. I had this done to my pool last year and it was a total nightmare. I had co completely tear down my Polaris and clean out the media before it would function properly again.

How do I get the collar off a Polaris 360/ 380 back up valve

Re: How do I get the collar off a Polaris 360/ 380 back up v The collar on my 360 backup valve is also stubborn. What I've foound to work well is to put the body carefully in my bench vise and use a rubber strap wrench to untwist the collar. Works great. The swearing is purely gratuitous and...

Drilling and Tapping Chlorine Injection Port - PVC Shavings

Hi All, I have now purchased everything I need for a Stenner pump based chlorine injection system. I am a little concerned about introducing pvc shavings into my plumbing. A dry run at drilling a piece of pvc yielded a surprising amounbt of shavings. Any way to reduced what gets introduced...

Bubbles in Pool after new Intelliflo VS Install

Thanks for the feedback. I wish I had remembered the garden hose over the suspected leaky union but it all worked out okay anyhow. I went ahead and cut out the leaky union and plumbed in a new one. I was a little worried about getting it all glued up plumb and square, but it all worked out...

Bubbles in Pool after new Intelliflo VS Install

First major upgrade I've done. Got the old pump out and got an Intelliflo VS plumbed in AND successfully wired up. I was a little worried about that piece but it went smoother than the re-plumb. Fired the pump up and darned if there aren't bubbles from the returns and the pressure side cleaner...

    Polaris Back Up Valve

I put mine in my bench vise with a rag around it so as to no mar up the body and use one of those rubber strap wrenches to twist the top off. Pretty straight forward.

Is the Solar Breeze solar powered robotic skimmer worth the investment?

I've had mine about three weeks. I was skeptical at first and definitely feel that I was charged a "green" tax, but I must say that thing is pretty neat. I have lots of trees that drop stuff in the pool year round and since putting this thin in service, the bag on the Polaris is virtually...

    Polaris Back Up Valve

Mine does not trickle as you describe. I would try taking it apart apart and inspecting for debris in the mechanism. It's simple to disassemble and free to try.

Old Hayward Pump Just Gave Up the Ghost

Thanks for the quick reply, Jason. The challenge is that all the plumbing will have to be re-done as the heater needs to be where the filter is now, etc, etc. I suppose setting it up temporarily will let me calibrate my PVC routing skills.

Old Hayward Pump Just Gave Up the Ghost

Hey All, I've been nursing an old 1.5 HP Hayward pump along for the 18 months I've been in this house. I've already replaced the capacitor once and anticipating the pump's ultimate demise, I bought a new Intelliflo VS still in the box. I live in CA, so hopefully the economics work out. At...

    New Pump Install

Thanks for the reply, Jason! I realized after I registered that my user name was very similar to an expert on the forum. For my part, I'll try my darnedest to not provide any remotely-sounding expert advice until I've been here lonmg enough to actually do so! I'll try and get some better...

    New Pump Install

Hi All, New member here. We recently moved to a house with a 16,000 gallon IG pool with waterfall, Polaris 360 sweep and Pentair CCP filter. The 1.5 hp single speed Hayward is so weather- beaten that I can't get a model #, but that's okay - I plan to replace it soon with a Pentair Intelliflo...
