New all glass tile IG pool build - Houston, TX

The color really changes depending on the light. This evening i noticed the color as being aqua versus the very blue you see in the pics which were taken with a bright overhead sun. And the night shot was taken with a blue light on the LEDs.

Awesome looking pool. Sounds like my PB, we tried to get it done before we went on vacation for 3 weeks. Pool wasn't done until 2 weeks after we left. If you can, think about alternatives for you not being there. I was considering changing my flight arrangements. Good thing I didn't, because...

Getting Close to Decision Time! - McKinney, TX

very nice design, I agree on losing the Nature 2, and going with LED's instead of standard. Pricier but more energy efficient and ability to change colors depending on mood is awesome. I also found that a blue light attracts less bugs than the white light.

the glass itself is very smooth, but the grout lines do help to give some grip, so its not that slippery. it does feel smooth overall except where tiles don't fit flush. This is not a pool finish for those who are OCD. For the most part, all tiles are smoothly transitioned especially considering...

Yes, I kept two stacks of tile, though I wonder how that gets fixed when they pop out at the bottom of the pool.

About $8000 more. I did not want the roughness of the pebble. I would have liked the Pebble where they grind it down like a terrazzo, but my PB was not confident in the finish. - - - Updated - - - thanks for the kind words everyone. I am very happy with how it turned out, especially the...

And it's done. Finished up the week after July 4th, just before we got back from our trip. Taken at dusk with the LED's on. The pool looked a little cloudy to me, good thing I had my TF100 kit all ready and waiting. CH = 50! Remember the water softener? My external hose bibs uses the...

Jun 1st 15 days to us being away on vacation...for 3 weeks. The other keepback was the tile man the PB wanted was supposed to be their specialist, and he was still finishing up another person's pool. Needless to say, we had to leave before the pool was finished.

May 24th This is where things slowed down greatly. One issue was the chopped rock on the back wall was not in stock and we elected to wait on the shipment to come in. One or two weeks they said. In the meantime, we did the pool decking. I did concrete with the "Cool Deck" type finish. The...

I went back and added some pics of the gunite crew doing their thing. I had taken those photos using my GoPro. I saw someone had posted a timelapse of their gunite install, and really liked the idea, so I did the same. I had horrible reflections though because of where I was in relation to the...

April 4th Time for the plumbing works. I have a water softener system, and a sprinkler system. The sprinkler bypasses the water softener, so the autofill line connects to the sprinkler. Jandy equipment all plumbed in Next step is gunite.

Bobcat entered the side fence. I am on a corner lot so the truck and bobcat used the main road and came in directly to the site. I had to remove my flagstone pathway as well But the dig was done in short order. We started early April 2014 and was trying to have it done before mid-June. The...

    Hi, another TX pool owner

Hi all, This seems like a great site. I have been lurking for a couple weeks and decided to join after realising my first goto site for information was this one. I am in the process of choosing my PB (picked up some of the acronyms already). Looking forward to get my project started soon and...
