    Help programming SWG into Intellicenter

Happy to report back… I actually didn’t need to do anything beyond adding the Intellichlor to the display. I added bags of salt to the pool today and it almost immediately started reading output for me.

    Help programming SWG into Intellicenter

Edit: I wanted to come back and say... I simply went into the Chemistry Equipment, clicked add, Intellichlor and it simply started showing the Salt numbers immediately. There was absolutely no programming. OP: I just converted our chlorine pool to saltwater using the Pentair IC-40 unit. Wiring...

New Pool Build in north DFW - Keller (pic heavy)

It rained before they finished. The basic rule is that you need a very minimum of 1 hour with no precipitation after they have completely finished the plaster. They knew they couldn't save it, so they just packed up, left and were able to do it again just a couple days later. In theory, it...

    iAqualink says Service Mode

I have the iAqualink v2 and only saw the Service Mode once, but it was b/c the pool company accidentally left the pool in service mode. Perhaps a quick call to Zodiac @ 800-822-7933 would be helpful.

New Pool Build in north DFW - Keller (pic heavy)

Ultimately the sod was the biggest factor. But we also put plastic landscape edging to channel the water in the direction we wanted it and cleared the drains on the pool deck. We've had a couple really good downpours recently and luckily we haven't had any problems.

New Pool Build in north DFW - Keller (pic heavy)

Hi Suz - it's a Midnight Blue color in the mini-stonescape product. We also opt'd for the abolone shell to bring a little sparkle to the pool, which gets tons of compliments. And yes, we have a stone staircase on the back of the grotto that we can climb up to get on top. It's quite the...

    Restricting Water Flow

The valves are located in the ground behind the waterfall, so I'm clear. But good advice, thank you.

pH still rising after borates added

Lower to 7.2? I mentioned to the PB that I tried to keep it at 7.4-ish because of the liquidator and he balked, saying acidic water would do long term damage to the heater if I kept the pH too low. The pool calc is telling me to keep it in the 7.5-7.8 range. Just want to make sure before...

New Pool Build in north DFW - Keller (pic heavy)

We got most of the outdoor furniture from Nebraska Furniture Mart - that place is awesome. We're happy everything came together before summer hit. The pool has been great so far.

New Pool Build in north DFW - Keller (pic heavy)

We recently built a pool in DFW and I wanted to share the process and pictures with the forum that has been so helpful to me. Overall, due mostly to weather delays and some communication issues with the PB, it took just over 5 months to complete. It all started with 4 bids and 4 wildly...

pH still rising after borates added

I recently read up on borates and thought this could be helpful for us. We have a pretty decent size waterfall/grotto and two weeping water falls that cause a lot of water agitation. To help combat the pH rise, I figured it could use borates. I followed the instructions and brought it up to...

    Restricting Water Flow

I have a dedicated 1.5hp pump for my waterfalls but when it's allowed to flow completely freely, the noise from the water it so loud that it makes it hard to hear anyone talking. I guess we're a victim of our own success. I did learn that I can reduce the water flow via the valves which not...

New Pool Needs Upgraded Automation Already?

Well, surprisingly it might be as easy to fix the PDA as just changing the channel, which they are coming out today to do. And more surprisingly, they have a huge discount on the parts to do the upgrade. If I want, they will even perform the equipment swap for free. So I stressed for nothing...

New Pool Needs Upgraded Automation Already?

I have a brand new pool that was just given to us last week. Included was a PDA-PS8 Combo remote control to turn on / off our equipment and set the programs. The problem is that it doesn't work from ****. It only recognizes some of the buttons I press (ie: if I press "down" to go down the...

New pool build - plaster failed QC

Well they came back about 7:00a today to get started. About noon-ish they were finishing up. Looks like they finished and beat the rain by an hour or two today, so hopefully this will work out better than the first attempt. I think the guy initially said they'd let it cure for a day before...

New pool build - plaster failed QC

OK - I just got word back. I guess it's a bond kote (SIC). They chipped away at the locations they needed to so there wouldn't be any bowing affect from the new plaster but effectively they say that while inconvenient, it should make the plaster stronger and last longer than with a single...

New pool build - plaster failed QC

We have had an unusually wet spring in DFW this year. As such, the 5-8 wk pool build that got started in Jan is still not completed. This weekend they tried to beat some rain and plaster the pool. Unfortunately, right as they were finishing a pop-up shower hit the site and lasted about 5-10...

    Price Itemized Design Proposal?

In my opinion - you NEED an itemized list. And if a PB is too busy to help during the purchase process, they will be WAY to busy to help during the build.

    NUMBER OF LEDs

One of the quotes we had included nothing but those lower voltage, smaller LEDs throughout. They told me that for the price, they could install about 4 of them per large LED. Also, even though they were low voltage, they would light the pool brighter than the bigger brother lights because...

    Price Itemized Design Proposal?

You should certainly ask during your consultation that everything be itemized, whether it's something you're paying for or not. I paid for a customization, dual digital timer for my last pool, which I even had delivered, only to find the electricians swapped it out for a cheap analog timer. My...

    Dumping Pool Water

Odds are that the tree is simply over-watered and will recover on its own when it gets a chance to dry up a little. I have a willow that does the same thing every year. Don't sweat it.

During Build Process - Cost for additional LED Pool Light

When I built the pool it cost a flat $500 / LED light. If you are at the rebar stage then I wouldn't think it would cost more than the cost of the first light. Maybe a 'change fee' to the contract but that seems high to me considering they can still put it in with minimal effort. Maybe...

    Brown Rust-like Stain on Wall

I wanted to come back out here to share with the forum the outcome of this. It turns out that it is part of one of the metal twist ties that was used on the rebar. Apparently its sticking out from the concrete but not the plaster... but its close enough to the surface that it has shown this...

TFTestKit Refills - When does the sale begin?

Hi - I didn't get an email yesterday and wanted to see if the prices are reflected online in the store. And yes, I even checked my SPAM folder. :-)
