I have had both plaster and now have a pebble sheen surface. This past summer I was doing backward somersaults with the granddaughters in the shallow end and my knee grazed the pool floor. my knee was bleeding It took a layer of skin off. Grandkids have stubbed toes against steps ( infrequently)...

I have a 7 year old aqua blue pebble finish and have the abalone shells I have had no staining. My deep end is 7ft deep when the sun is shining on my pool I can see them sparkle even in the deep end.

78 here the grandkids crack me up they always think they're swimming no matter what temp the water is ( memorial day weekend water was in the high 60's) their lips might be blue but by golly they're gonna swim!
