    Calling all Canadians!

As stated per Eauclaire. Cheapest to use calcium hypochlorite for seasonal pools. Best deals for Canadians is the HTH 18kg 70% bucket found at Costco. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Winter hot tub care. Need advice

Hi. This will be my first winter with a hot tub and I wanted to know how do you deal with ice built upon your cover, as show below. I want to scrap it off but I'm worried I will damage the cover leather. It's pretty stuck there and I can't just slide it off. Any tips on the best way to approach...

    Bromine behaviour

Is it normal that when I add a larger than usual amount of bleach(8.25%) (10oz+) in my 440 gallon bromine tub, the water shows a heavy green tint for roughly 30-45 minutes? Is this just a sign of high bromine levels due to the reaction with the bleach? And if so, shouldn't it show longer? Thanks

Yeah that's the plan. But right now no girlfriend, just a roommate, would be kind of awkward lol

Is this an normal foam levels

Hi. I have recently bought a used hot tub. I am using bromine as sanitizer. Fresh fill last Friday. Did the ahhsome treatment. Was not this foamy on the first couple of days, Based on your experience, is this an acceptable level of foam or should I be worried. Bromine 2-4 PH 7.6 CH 140 Borates 50

CalSpa runs for 10-20sec then shutsoff - readout shows 000

I just purchased a used 2006 calspa and I was able to find the serial number on a metal plate bolted to exterior panels on the right side of of the heat pump/plumbing assembly. Here's a picture of what it looked like. I was able to find the exact model and series with it.

Borate test kit. Where in Canada..?

You can order from http://tftestkits.net as it is not a Taylor product. They can ship it to you. Apollo pools(http://piscines-apollo.com) used to offer his own Borates drop test but He has just recently stopped doing Business. I was able to order it just a couple days prior to his retirement.

    Liquid Sodium Bromide

Thanks a lot Chem Geek again for the clarification. Indeed I am planing on using sodium hypochlorite so it shouldn't be an issue. The tub came equipped with an ozonator but since it is a 2006 I am not sure in what state it stands so I won't be relying on it.

    Liquid Sodium Bromide

Actually no. I visited 3 different pools stores and only one knew what I was talking about. I also tried Wal-Mart but at this time of year they already packed up all the pool/spa products to make place for Halloween costumes. The only other thing I found(as mentioned in the post you referenced)...

    Liquid Sodium Bromide

Hello, I'm looking to establish my first bromide reserve in my hot tub. I was not able to locate any granular form of it locally. The only thing i was able to find is in liquid at a concentration of 35% of Sodium Bromide. Instructions say to add 125ml(4oz) per 1000Liters(264gal). Does this...

    Use of Clorox liquid bleach.

Yeah. I accidentally left a floater with residual trichlor pucks over winter one year(prior to TFP) and ended up with a nice bleached out streak on my 1 year old liner in the deep end. Definitely a no- no.

Need help to remove side panel to fix leak.

Can you post a picture so we can have a better idea?

How to remove remnants of pool rail?

If it was me, I would use a rotary hammer(can be rented) with a 4 inch diamond hole saw, drill it down then chisel out. And as per what was mentioned earlier, buy new anchor and cast them into place (in the holes created by the hole saw) with a poly modified cement/sand mix. Shouldn't take more...

    What is the right order?

This is what I was thinking could potentially happen. Extended directions from Fix-A-Leak said to drain the tub and keep it empty for at least a week prior to doing the treatment for better results. I wanted to follow the directions exactly as it seems there is a lot of misuse of the product out...

    What is the right order?

Hi, I have purchased a used hot tub recently and I am finalizing the install this weekend and getting ready for the fill. One of the members convinced me to run the Ahh-Some treatment. I have ordered it and waiting for it by mail. Also, I am suspecting a possible minor leak in the tub and I...

I don't think it's even available for us Canadians. I can't add it to my shopping cart on his website. Probably discontinued for whatever reason
