Thanks for your help! What did I do wrong with the addition of borax and ma to my pool? were the calculations off? Or should I added the borax first and lower the ph with the ma after? Thanks again

just put 10 lbs of alk increaser and it shows i have 110. I have put 250 oz's of ph increaser and it is just at 7. I'm going to wait about 15 minutes and check again and increase to 7.4. Going back to the bbb, I followed the guidelines and double checked. I should have left the pool alone...

it was the first time for adding borax. through the pool chemical site and also did a forum to make sure the numbers were right and the moderator posted it was.

ph is way below 7. and the alk test turns red instead of green in the 2nd step. I added 14 boxes of borax with 76oz size which is 1060oz. about 500oz's of ma is what i added.

I thought ma was what you add with borax

I started with the following levels ph- 7.2 alk- 90 cya-90 f.c.- 3.6 I put half dose of borax and ma, then did the other half. tested ph 20 minutes later and it is way below 7 and the alk turned red when adding the green drops. Is this normal? If it is how long do I wait to test again? Thanks...

I have my chemicals right on. fc-4 alk-80 ph-7.2 salt-3200 cya-70 I just want to make sure, the pool calculator calls for 1016oz. borax and 520oz ma. I tried to look over the site which tells you the quantities and how to apply, but new to the site. Thanks for everyone's help!

I want to go with the bbb method. I have a swg. Will i still need to add bleach, or just monitor the f.c.
