thank you! I am not running it until someone comes to fix it. I also noticed a very, very slight noise now which I think may be water touching the bearings? I hope nothing further is damaged as the noise is very low - could that be why I hear the noise?

It's like a heavier metal hook at the side of the box that you pull up to start pump and down to stop. Not like a regular light switch at home. Does that help? I was thinking maybe it's an issue with something inside the electrical box? Or the switch itself?
