Yes, I did pool math. It was actually 20 oz of stabilizer and 18 of baking soda (weight). I went down a few oz in the stabilizer so it wouldn't go too overboard and I could recheck once fully dissolved. My CYA goal was set at 70 and TA goal was set at 60. Should I be shooting a little higher?

Does adding 15oz of baking soda and 15 oz of CYA sound right to you?

So I need to raise my CYA and TA. In raising the CYA it will lower my pH. What is the best route for this. Add both CYA and baking soda and adjust pH after? Tonight's results CYA 30 TA 40 pH 7.2 FC 4.5 CC .5 TC 5

FC is 4.5 CC is .5 I know I can just add some bleach, but I'm wondering if I run the SWG a little longer will it have the same effect?

That's perfect! I couldn't wrap my head around one chemical raising the other and trying to get them both in the right spot without going over. When it says 20 oz is that weighed or measuring cup?

@Dtmos01 How did you flip it over, exactly? 99% of the water is out--there is maybe half inch left in the bottom of the pool and we're trying to figure out our next step. The outside of the pool is still pretty dirty--it would be great if we could figure how to flip it over and hose it all down.

That is what I figured. I'm curious--why do pools w SWG need higher CYA levels than non-swg pools? Or, am I misunderstanding the chart?

CYA is at 30 (we drained a bit of water the other day). Since we have a SWG should I up the CYA to 60? FC is 13.5, CC 0, pH 7.2, Alkalinity 60. FC was at 12 yesterday and we put ran the SWG for 4hrs last night. Since our FC is still pretty high should we only do 2hrs of the SWG?

We passed the OCLT last night! FINALLY! So, now where do I stand--should I put the SWG back on today or wait until the FC goes down? I haven't checked the pH since we started this whole process. I should wait until the FC comes down, correct?

We do have a regular cover we use--just not solar. My husband is draining some water now and we're going to add some hot water to see what happens :)

As I've mentioned our AG is FREEZING (68-69F). We are contemplating emptying out a bit of the pool (it's actually overflowing from a big rain storm we had yesterday) and adding hot water from the house (our basement bulkhead is pretty close and can easily hook up a hose by the washing machine)...

So below 24--how much should I aim for? I'm at 17.5FC and and 0 CC. I haven't put anything in it since last night--and there was still growth.

OCLT--losing 2-3FC (18 at night--morning is usually 15-16) CC is .5. The growth is only at the bottom with an occasional maybe 2 or 3 specs of green floating on top
