your right....I meant to say the FC 9 was done around 9A. I did not test again till the next morning. I let the system run normal, had to go to work around 3P. The 11.5(gain of 2.5) I assume was through out that day.

Did not do the test. The system started acting right after stabilizer was added

Update. I did not have to do the OC gain test. After adding stabilizer to the pool 3 days ago, at 9AM yesterday the FC was 9 and 11.5 this morning. I have not checked the CYA yet but that is next on the list. I dialed the % back from 60 to 50. Plan on checking the FC about mid day.

Last year was nothing like this year.

BTW....I just became a Bronze supporter.

Check my calculations. My T9 cell specs are 0.98lbs in 24hrs=15.68oz chlorine gas= a FC increase of 17ppm according to pool math. So if I run my system from say 8P-8A(12hrs) i should see a approx increase of 8.5 FC

I suspect your spitball guess is on point. The next sound your going to hear is my head being removed from my backend. I sometimes get that can't see the forest for the trees.

I think I am inclined to follow that for now and once my FC target level reaches 10 or slightly less, then I will test and adj my PH. And continue to brush and vac daily and change out filter more often

I have used 2209 oz of bleach to date on this. Not sure where to turn next. Keep adding at the Mustard algae rate, do the following test with the kiddie pool or something else.

I will say this, what ever it is....it's very persistent and the water is clear.

I meant PW the filters...maybe I will go back to washing with hose and doing a muratic acid soak

Its embedded in the media so cant really tell if its dirt.....I know I have thrown enough bleach at it.
