    Ok - well I took my water to pacific pools and they did a chlorine demand test and told me I need now to add either 20lbs of calcium hypochlorite or 20 gallons of liquid chlorine. Which is stronger or are they the same?

    I don't trust them. My pool is cloudy and the did tell me to use the phosphate remover. They don't seem to know what they are doing. I am planning on shocking tonight. Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate all of your help. You are the best!

    Hi jasonlion, The pool store said it could clear up on it's own. That the combined chlorine will lower naturally and I don't need to shock. They said that with the cold water and sunshine it will go down. I am not sure to believe them. What do you think?

    Ok I did this. Put five gallons of pool water in a bucket. 2) Add 1 oz of 6% bleach 3) mix throughly 4) wait one hour 5) test the FC level 6) The fc is above 10

    Ok - does this sound correct. After doing this test and some math. I figured I need to buy 21 gallons of liquid chlorine. Does this sound correct or is my math wrong?

    Hi - I am in need of a good solar cover. Can anyone recommend the best type of solar cover? My inground pool does not have a heater. I was looking at a clear cover and 14 - 16 mil. But not sure if it will be too heavy and whether get diamond or regular bubbles.

    Hi, I have and inground pool that is 16 years old. It has the original liner and it is faded and Very wrinkled. A company told me that the previous owner must have not kept the PH correct. Should I have it replaced? It cost about $3,200 to replace it. How long will a new liner last? Thanks...
