leveling ground for intex ultra 18' X48 AGP

Well a string line and a string level will work but are you talking about using just sand to level the pool and not digging down the high places? I tried that one time years ago with at 16 x 48 intex and it just didn't work out.

    Leveling an Intex Pool

Through a bit of trial and error over the years I have found that yes the ground under the liner needs to be level. Leveling the top rail is important also for structural soundness and for looks. The water inside the pool will seek its own level and cause a bulge and over time cause the legs...

Intex pump lost pressure again this year

Last year about this same time a sudden wind / rain event caused a lot of bamboo needles to blow into my pool. As luck would have it the same thing happened again this year. Needles clogged the pump and I had to go through the process of unclogging it again. Thought I would repost this just...

Intex Pool - Metal Frame or Easy Up

I have to say the metal frame. Once you get it installed properly it will last for years. I have not heard near as many complaints with the metal frame as I have the easy up.

    help...my intex pool leaks everywhere!

From the look of the pictures you have posted I honestly dont believe there is anything you can do except order a set of new valves or find some o-rings that will fit and start over. My guess is the O-Ring on the intake portion of the valve has hardened and cracked. This is an older valve...

22ft. pro-series(Intext type) NOT level, draining, fixing

Re: 22ft. pro-series(Intext type) NOT level, draining, fixin I am feeling your pain. I have gone back and read your post at least 5 times and I just cant get it in my head what you are trying to dig down. Are you just digging under each of the uprights or are you trying to level just a...

16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting over.

Re: 16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting o almost forgot....be sure and mark where the legs on your pool are setting before you move it out of the way. Then you wont have to measure around the circle to lay out the caps. If you have already moved it the spacing between the...

16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting over.

Re: 16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting o If you use pavers or foundation caps (I think caps have a 2" thickness) you will need to level the ground and then dig out and set the top of the cap at the same grade or about a 1/4" above so they can settle a smidge. Just get 16 of...

16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting over.

Re: 16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting o The little space below the drain hole in your pool hold quiet a bit of water over a 16 foot Dia. Most pumps dont do a very good job either at that low of a level. The tried and true shop vac is the best thing I found.

16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting over.

Re: 16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting o I know your not going to like this by I hit the wrong number key...it's actually more like 3 gal a minute. It took me 37 hours to drain a 16 x 48 pool that was full almost to the top.

16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting over.

Re: 16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting o If it's full it will take a couple of days. And then you will need to get the last of the water out by either a pump or shop vac.... It's a pain in the behind.

16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting over.

Re: 16x48 intex ultra frame........I think we are starting o From past experience I have found that if you can see a visible difference in the water level as you look at your pool from one side to the other it’s probably too much out of level. I don’t think an inch will cause a problem...

    Untimley Intex Demise

This was the 9th season for the pool . I was planning to replace it this fall for next year. I guess I'll go ahead and get something else and not try to patch this one. It's been a good one!!

Should I put a sock on my Intex 1600 basket?

Well actually I wasn't talking in terms of it not being a good thing or causing any problems, just that i dont like to unscrew it and mess with it. I would rather just dump the skimmer basket

Should I put a sock on my Intex 1600 basket?

Oooooops...I spoke and then went back and looked at your post again. You were talking about the pump basket and not the skimmer basket. I was talking about the skimmer basket. I don't think the socks that I was talking about are going to work on the pump plus I wouldn't want to have to take...

Should I put a sock on my Intex 1600 basket?

I have bamboo growing just across the fence from my pool. When the wind blows a bunch of the little needles get in to the pool and if I don't catch all of them with the hand rake they get sucked into the skimmer and into the pump. This clogged up the impeller on my Intex 1600 and I had to take...

    Census Poll on Intex Users

I believe this will be year number 9 for my 18 x 48 metal frame intex. I have never taken it down. I am thinking I might replace it in the fall with a 24 x 52 Intex. There is one on CL at the moment in excellent shape that I might go head and buy and put it up in the fall. I actually have...

    Intex Filter leaking

Sorry to hear about the crack. I am glad you found the problem but that is shame about the crack in the new pump. I agree there should be something that states hand tighten only.
