    GFCI tripping

Replaced the element. That was the cause. There was a little rust inside on the element where they come through to the Electrical connections. Thanks for all the help.

    GFCI tripping

Correct. I disconnected the two copper tabs from the heater element and spa runs as normal. No tripping breaker.

    GFCI tripping

Yes and tripping immediately when power is present, NOT when the system is calling for Heat.

    GFCI tripping

Just tested from the heater posts to the ground. NO Continuity. If I test the ground to the outside of the heater tube, there is continuity. When testing resistance to ground, the numbers start at 8 and keep climbing to 30+

    GFCI tripping

Have a Swim Spa and the GFCI trips immediately. Went one by one and disconnected components. Culprit is the heater but I replaced this element April of 2023 and never had issues. Tested continuity-GOOD, Testing Resistance-NORMAL RANGE. No corrosion on posts etc. Any other ideas why the...

    Thoughts?

So yesterday I noticed a slight cloudiness in the pool. Otherwise perfectly clear. This AM more cloudiness and tested using my Taylor Kit. FC 11 CC 0 PH 7.4 CYA 65 Any ideas why I may be getting a bloom at these levels?

    Heat Pump

So my Heat Pump is running fine other than the fan seems louder than normal. Usually quiet. There is no wobble but when I pull up on the fan (When its Inverted) I do notice the shaft and rotating motor comes out about a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. I assume the shaft/fan should stay solid and not...

    Cant figure this out

Thanks, its not bubbles. We had about 5-6 inches of rain since sat. Haze got a little more milky on Sunday, dumped in 2.5 gals of 12.5% Liquid Chlorine. Pool is crystal clear today, even with about 2" of rain yesterday. Had to pump pool down on Sunday 2" due to rain and today the pool level...

    Cant figure this out

So went out to shut off the SWG and start the OCLT and I noticed the pool is almost totally clear again. Haze is just about gone. The only thing I did today was turn the SWG on "Turbo" which is 100%. Same speeds and schedules. Being that we are supposed to get heavy rain tonight I think I...

    Pool water hits 93 !

Hey Neighbor. Whereabouts in Quogue are you?

    Cant figure this out

Will try OCLT with pump running. But, being that everyday my pool maintains a steady 11 PPM FC and 0 CC Level would suggest no blooms no? The haze has me stumped.

    Cant figure this out

Let me better explain my schedule and pool. Al the specs are in the signature. The Comfort Chlor is the SWG. Its the same as the Resilience A5 with the 305PX computer. Pool runs from 8-11 at 2500 RPM, 11-4 at 2200 RPM 4-8 2000 RPM and 8-8 at 1700 RPMS. The SWG is set at 60%. Its been...

    Cant figure this out

So my #'s are: FC 11 CC 0 PH 7.4 CYA 65 Alk 100 Pool runs 24 hrs from 8pm to 8am it runs at only 1700rpms. Shut pool off 4 nights ago to do a chlorine loss test. Stay the same. No drop at all in 12 hours. The issue is, every 5 day the pool gets a slight haze when looking in the deep end...

    What damage can this cause?

Its a Pentair SVRS Variable Speed Pump. Trying to figure out how to wire in a Current Sensing Relay and call it a day. For now, going to run 24 hrs.
  19. R

Is there step by step instructions on installing the Current Sensing Relays?

As the title says. I see many topics but none containing on how to exactly do this. Thanks.

    What damage can this cause?

Called them this am and said, how is this hooked up? when the pump turns off does the screen say "No Flow" or "Standby". She then said the no flow is a failsafe and the system needs to be on a separate timer from the SVRS internal one.
  21. R

    What damage can this cause?

I meant when running as far as "seeing" the production. I think I will be adding a timer to just the SWG computer as a hedge. Any specific timer I should be looking at just for SWG? 120 vs 240?

    What damage can this cause?

Other than the "Milked" color of the cell housing, could this have caused other damage to a brand new cell? Plates? Seems to be making Chlorine, but I can no longer see the "cloud" coming off the plates.
  23. R

    What damage can this cause?

seems to be just the clear plastic body. Really cant see the plates very well now. The dealer installed the SVRS and the SWG when we built the pool. Both are powered independently and it seems, they relied on the "NO FLOW" to stop producing Chlorine. Its worked fine for 7 years....till now.

    What damage can this cause?

I just purchased a replacement cell for my SWG. Its the Resilience 305PX with the A5 Cell. The cell body is clear so you can see the production of Chlorine. I installed it on Tuesday and the next day I noticed the clear cell was now white/clouded. Went to computer and all was working as should...

    Any ideas?

Ill let it run tonight and check #'s in am and haziness. I will also add some CYA in the Sock in the morn as well. Thanks will report back in AM. FYI. The SWG was set at 40% today and it maintained the FC all day.

Had a bit of rain yesterday and windy. Pool has been crystal clear. Went out this AM and noticed a bit of haze to the pool. Lots of wind so there was debris, dust and leaves on top of pool. Netted all out and did a test. Test results this AM were: FC 4.5 CC 0.0 PH 7.4 TA 90 CYA 40 Was...

Here are Taylor Test Results day after opening. Any advice other than obvious?

Stopped. SWG is on 50% and will be lowering to bring the FC level down. Added some Washing Soda to bring up the PH. The pool, except for the first few hours after opening has been clear.
