    Flow Rate - Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400

I was able to determine that my Hayward Filter is model number is DE4820. I will have to look at the inside controller next time I am at the property in order to answer the rest of your questions. Over the past weekend I tore the heater down only to discover that both the bypass valve and...

    Flow Rate - Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400

The pump is a Jandy VSSHP270DV2A. The model number label is gone off the filter so I'm not sure what model number filter I have. I know it's in the range of the pictured specification label. Can I convert PSI to flow rate? It's currently running at about 15 to 16 PSI.

    Flow Rate - Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400

How do I check the flow rate through a Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400? Is there a flow meter that I could install temporarily in place of the water pressure switch to check flow rate?

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

On second thought, there won't be any repairing of this board - too many burnt traces. Something shorted out.

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

I installed the new Fenwal module today and that solved the issue. As soon as I did that I started getting 110V to the igniter. I installed the new igniter which measured 52 ohms and fired it up. Everything works fine now. Thanks for the help! I was thrown off because the tech I had hired...

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

Looks like I have a knock-off - they listed it with the same part number but the description said "compatible with" and not Pentair OEM. I'll return it and get Pentair equipment.

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

The new igniter has 140 ohms resistance. I have not yet installed it. Was waiting until I fixed the voltage problem first. The old igniter is shot - melted off at the nubs.

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

Thanks for the help. I will get purchase one and report results back here. I see it listed for $98 and $248 on Amazon. Both refer to this catalogue number. Think I'm ok getting the $98 one or likely $98 for a reason?

Manufactured in 2016. Installed Summer of 2018. Has been operational up through last year and possibly earlier this year. My installation was 2018. I bought from a pool builder who said he had it installed on a customer's pool for less than a year. I purchased it used and hired an installer...

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

The blower does operate. I doubt the Fenwal he took off his truck was the same catalogue number - it was a used part that he had robbed off another unit. He swapped wires one for one from mine to his but I did not check model numbers. There was no change in performance when he did that.

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

Yes there is an automation panel (AquaLink RS). It's also connected to an AquaLink 3.0 WIFI system to control everything from an app, That answers that question. Now if I can get the heater operational. I'm just operating it from the controls atop the heater.

    Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 R13 board - No Voltage to Ignitor

I have a Sta-Rite 400 with a R13 control board that I can't get voltage to the ignitor. When I select pool or spa heat I read 1.37V with probes inserted to the connector the ignitor plugs into. The Fenwal light is off entirely. I had a pool heater guy come out, he swapped out the Fenwal with...
