Ok, I've tried everything I know? The cover for the Hayward wall skimmer is hard to open. I've tried very fine sand paper, silicone o-ring lube (which seem to work well but attracts sand which makes it worse) Is there a tip or trick to allow this bugger to slide open easier?

Ok...sencond year with our 14x42. I didn't noticed last year.....maybe because the liner was new and "tight" ....and/or maybe the liner hadn't been stretched out??? Anyhow the bottom seam around the inside perimeter, the flap is up. So this holds dirt, etc., Seems like they would have designed...

Just opened pool four (4) days ago. Hard plumb 14x42 pool and installed Hayward wall skimmer. ....oh and a fountain. (This is how I noticed lower pressure or flow) Installed two (2) returns. With both returns open the fountain sprayed great. If I closed one (1) return valve the fountain was...

Ok....according to Intex manual the strainer grid goes on the lower part of the pool. This is the outlet or where the water goes into the pool from pump/filter. My question is ....wouldnt the strainer grid be better to go on the inlet? Seems like this would prevent garbage from entering the...
