Believe 1.0 inch black pipe, OD would be the 1.315 I think. I am using a tape measure and I thought it was 1.5 or close to it. But I know it’s 1 inch pipe.

Have been talking with some people here locally who work with gas appliances - more than one person commented “they’ve been messing with the gas lines so much” - and they theorized moisture in the lines. For what little that’s worth. We also had massive flooding in our area when this went out...

Diagnosed by generally gas going in but nothing going to manifold. Again, since has been asked several times, voltage was correct.

I followed the troubleshoot to a T. We went through everything on the flow chart from Hayward. Voltage was correct. It just wouldn’t open.

I have recently replaced the gas valve on my Hayward Heater. The solenoid just failed. I cannot find any major literature on why these fail. This may be a dense question and I am asking more out of my own curiosity. This was a 4 year old valve. Any idea generally why these fail?

Went from 41.5 to about 28 in a few hours with good sun.

I wasn’t going to be here today to test periodically. That’s why. Just a combo of being gone all day and the cover stuff being cleaned out. Have been experiencing huge fc loss all week hour to hour. Was thinking would fall below 28 while I was gone.

Got 43 FC and 0 CC on my pm test. No additions since this am and really only a smidge of UV hit it since 10 am or so. Was at 42 earlier (twice). Silly q: would 41 in the am be considered a likely pass? The pm test was 85 - 86 drops at 10 ml. That’s a lot of drops.

Opened the cover about 6 and waited about 20 mins to test - got 42 Fc and .5 cc. Maybe saw a couple small spots that were questionable.

It’s at 42 as of 10 am. Need to let water circulate more before testing after an addition.

I’ve dosed it well - won’t be here during the day so honestly I’m shutting my cover.
