According to the tech, based on my serial number it was manufactured in 2017. So are you saying I would upgrade the board on the pump and not the display? Wonder if it would be possible to get a board off of a bad pump and what particular models would work.

The Aquarite does have the latest firmware. I did find this document that does show this pump model to be compatible with various automation systems. Variable Speed Pump & Automation Compatibility

I could never find the exact manual for this pump either. The display does have a Tristar VS sticker on the back. I sent this exact document to Hayward to point out the bold statement at the top of the page showing that the display is to be removed and that upgrading the display would be pointless.
