I'm not sure that will be possible for them, but maybe.

    Chlorine puck feeder question

The feeder was set on 5 by the way, I was going to start there but thought I'd ask here since I have no experience with feeders.

    Chlorine puck feeder question

Helping someone clear a swamp pool. We've vacuumed all the silt out, shocked out all the ammonia, vacuumed more, slammed the pool continually and we are getting close to switching back to a puck feeder. they have a bucket of leslies 3" tabs and what appears to be a pentair model #320 feeder. The...

Getting ready to buy a pool

We just replaced our pool with a sharkline saltwater 8000. I like it compared to the one we had before and it has all stainless hardware. We've had an aquatroll for about 7 yrs. and I like it quite a bit, be prepared for it to stop working though. I believe we've been through at least 4 of them...

Murphy came to swim at my place

These guys used a truck to try and pull the big branch away from the pool too. When it was time to pull the tires spun.

Murphy came to swim at my place

Yes they have insurance, still waiting on that though. The pool is done for but the pump, filter and SWG are fine. It happened a little faster than slow motion. They were trying very hard not to hit the pool but Murphy had different plans. Tore up a good bit of fencing too but it was in need of...

Murphy came to swim at my place

Murphy was at our place a couple months ago, but we were getting a couple trees cut down. One of the limbs smashed our pool.

    salt system for aluminum

What brand pool are you looking at? Ours recently had a big limb fall on it and needs to be replaced. I found one that is built out of extruded aluminum panels. I have a SWG from our current pool and would probably continue using it. The one I read about has all stainless hardware which I think...

I listened to a Walmart employee - and now I am lost

Dumb question I know but, since you didn't put cya in I have to ask. Did you put any salt in the pool when you got it going?

    Aqua troll aqua cell 5

New unit showed up yesterday but didn't even make it through the night. It has multiple problems, seems like the cell is bad, timer does not cut off the pump when it should, manual pump switch doesn't operate the pump at all. Had a feeling things would end up like this but I'm spoiled since I've...

Need a recommendation DFW/East Texas area

You could look around at rental companies and see if you can find a sod removing machine. It's about the size of a rototiller that has a blade that moves left and right, used to remove sod. It should be very easy to level out a area with one.

    Aqua troll aqua cell 5

No idea how to bypass, but ours quit this week too. We got ours in 2008 as well. You can find the cells a little cheaper if you look around. I found a complete system for just over 400.00, so i'm just replacing the whole thing.

    Adding DE to sand filter

Be careful, I plugged my filter up temporarily with the DE. You don't want to add to much and keep an eye on the pressure. It filters pretty good though.

Can you trust the pool shop?

This place can make you a very confident pool owner. I found my way here after the wifey couldn't stand it any more and bought a pool. I didn't know anything about keeping up a pool, but had heard of the typical pool store visit from people I work with. Long story short, get a good test kit...

how can I remove debris from here?

You need to isolate it also, block the valves upstream and downstream.

Can I, or should I adjust ph before opening?

If I was paranoid about the heater I'd put a bypass around it, or is that not a good idea. When I took the cover off last weekend the ph was low in our pool but it came up during shocking this week. I had to bring the TA up a little bit also so that may have helped.

Sounds like you have a plan. You should be happy with the aquatrol, it works well.

    Aquatrol - Self cleaning question

We've got a aquatrol on our agp. I don't understand what the benifit would be to use a timer upstream of the unit. The timer on the unit works fine and the unit is still powered up while the timer is in off mode. You don't have to set all the timer switches to on, there is a timer bypass switch...

    Aquatrol- no salt level

Well, I switched last night to metric, no wonder it looked like it had no salt. I guess 3.2 actually means 3000ppm, in case anyone was wondering.

I may have switched it from English to metric unknowingly. I'm gonna check it out this evening.

    Aquatrol- no salt level

Came home today to no salt reading and the check cell light flashing. Pulled the cell and it's clean as a whistle. Unplugged it for a while and started it back up, same thing. It appears to be generating (bubbles coming from the return) but not as much as usual. It was working fine yesterday, a...

    What next ??? ABout Aquatrol

I've got a set up like yours and live in hot humid southeast Texas almost directly west of where you live. I've been running ours 14hrs.@ 50% most of the summer. I run a little high on chlorine because I've gotten algea in the pool a little to often trying to run @ 3-5 ppm chlorine. If I were...

    Lightening

Thought our Aquatrol got fried yesterday by a very close lightening strike. Went outside after big hit and the pump wasn't running on the pool. I went and looked at the panel and there was no power. I unplugged the pump from the panel and plugged it into the receptacle and started the pump. I...

ready to buy my first AGP...worried a bit

We have a Cornelius with a swg. Now I didn't get to shop around, nor did I know anything about pools. My wife picked it out and arranged every thing. The only negative thing I can say is they should supply a better quality screw to assemble the pool with. Ours have corroded very quickly and I've...
