I added 3 gallons of chlorine last night after initial test. Chlorine from Taylor test kit is now 16.5. Based in this it says add 6 gallons.

I have the Taylor Test kit. I use the pool store to confirm my tests. I used pool math and 31ppm for the calculations and it said 12 gallons and to double it. My pool builder said I wouldn’t need to backwash so I’ve never done that. I’ll have to figure that out.
