AZ Source for Double Bullnose Travertine Coping?

I told the PB that he quoted it and I would wait until they had it in stock vs. the smaller. Of course waiting meant he would get his check later. He amazingly found it. 16" factory bullnosed. I'll have to take pics as I don't have any closeups of just that section of the coping.

    New Build - Mesa, AZ

I had jumping rocks installed and the were positioned so that they were actually not on the beam at all. Not sure why you want it tied to the beam?

Nice. That Baja step looks really shallow. Is it like 6" deep?

    Pool Build in Gilbert, AZ

Looks like the second one has automation (intellitouch) where the first one doesn't. Also only has 1 light bit it's LED. My pool only has one light but it's not LED. It provides enough light for me. But it's important where it is placed. Needs to shine along the length and not width. Yhe...

Just do an internet search for lien release. There are plenty of examples. Look for one specific to your location.

Starting the process in North Phoenix **Updated Pics 8/22**

Re: Starting the process in North Phoenix Wow! Hard dig and looks like they weren't a foot down before they broke out the hammer. Bummer. Hope you had a contingency for that. We did since we put in a diving pool and due to our location, but luckily we didn't. We put in RV gate so they...

Spa wall coping job well done? Your opinion please - pics

Re: Spa wall coping job well done? Your opinion please - pic Huh? :?: Looks to me like they were lazy. Instead of cutting the travertine and making very thin grout joints, they made wide joints to adjust for the curves instead of cutting the coping. Very amateur job IMO. What you can do...

    Well water

It also depends on the hardness of the water. I don't, not have I ever had to remove iron, but know that is also a factor. But a typical system is in the range of 48K grains (1 grain = 1 ppm). The largest single tank is about 64K. When you get into the 96K, you need double resin tanks. If...

Re: Starting the process in North Phoenix At least you got some reimbursement eventually. Point I was making is that you will get the same warranty on the pool shell at long as you use a registered builder here in AZ. Enforcing the warranty or collecting is a different story. I would...

Re: Starting the process in North Phoenix Pebble Plus is NOT PebbleTec. It goes by different names with different builders (Pebble Radiance for Presidential) but it is not a PebbleTec product. I forget who's product it is but I think it is Cal Plaster but not certain. AZ requires all pool...

Starting the process in North Phoenix **Updated Pics 8/22**

Re: Starting the process in North Phoenix Yes that is what I was referring to. It's not a true in-floor system and is the only system they sell as far as I know. Their angle is that no infloor system works so they don't sell one. They just use their wall returns to shoot down into a zone...

Starting the process in North Phoenix **Updated Pics 8/22**

Re: Starting the process in North Phoenix It's not an infloor cleaning system. All it consists of is jets on the side that blow down. It turns over the water but doesn't clean. It circulates water but it's not going to remove the dirt. THey say it will suspend the particles to be removed...

    Stair tile?

We did same Lightsteam iridescent glass for the step markers. Really like the way it looks. Just be ready for sticker shock. I'm pretty sure Pebbletec rebrands them and sells them through their installers as well.

    new pool buying startup

Negative edge is primarily where you have a slope and view. If your view is a 7' wall, I don't see the point in negative edge. Water gets very warm. I have a Pentair heat/cool pump. Cool upgrade was about $900 and well worth it IMO. Need to get with HOA and city for setback requirements. I...

Re: Starting the process in North Phoenix The Cal Pools in-floor is junk. Not even an in floor so to speak. Doesn't work. Both Presidential and Cal will push the pebble radiance. Ozone is personal choice; i'd stay with conventional system I went with Unique because we liked their design...

    Big Concrete Patio Decking Help

Yes prep work is key, but a slab that big will crack. Object is for it to crack where you want it which is why the put in joints. I don't know enough to say where or how many, but he sounds like he's doing what needs to be done so you need to let him do what you paid him for.

    Homemade Chlorine Injection System

Aren't you concerned injecting liquid chlorine on the suction side directly into the pump. Normally you would want that after the equipment.

I am considering adding the Intellichem

Huh? If you have the 2 pump and 2 tank set-up, it should be able to inject liquid chlorine. I am considering the same and this is my understanding though I've never used one yet.

    Pergola electrical question

Use Simpson Strongtie concrete anchors for the posts. You set them in the wet concrete and the attach the posts to them. They have a standoff plate so the posts are not in contact with the ground and won't absorb water. There are lots of choices depending on thickness of your concrete and the...

    Heat Pump Pricing

My new build price for the exact same heat pump (460933) was $3750 with another $680 to upgrade the 85' electrical run. We went further and upgraded the heat pump to add the cooling option (460935) for another $950. I've seen the 460933 selling for just under $3k but might get better price on...

AZ Source for Double Bullnose Travertine Coping?

No pics. Due to the slope of the lot, part of the pool has an exposed wall. Since it is exposed, it is the full 12" above grade. All my coping is travertine bullnose. Of course, the part where the decking goes right up to it, the coping is 12" to sit on the bond beam. The exposed wall is...

AZ Source for Double Bullnose Travertine Coping?

I have an exposed wall and don't want the grout joint. The rest of the coping is 12" factory bullnose so the section pf coping with a joint in the middle would look awkward.

AZ Source for Double Bullnose Travertine Coping?

For all those in AZ, I know there are a lot of you. I'm in need of some 16" travertine coping (noche color), with factory double bullnose. Anyone know of a source? I have exhausted all my known sources and know it has to be out there. I have an exposed beam and the PB wants to just cut 12"...

New Build in Phoenix Az. - NoFear!

Skimmer location above steps seems unusual. Make sure that if umbrella is in the baja step, that you can still walk down the steps without it being in the way. Just coping with no deck? Plumbing lines could be bigger to reduce load on pump. I would rather point light across the length than...

construction method - is this really the right way?

Mine used same pegboard. But they shaped it on the front with tools to make sure plumb and level on the pool side and straight with aid of mason line. Then removed pegboard and did same to backside. Turned out pretty straight, plumb, and level.

New Build in Phoenix *UPDATED 9/20/13*

Re: New Build in Phoenix *UPDATED 3/25* Same with my PB. My travertive was $8 and Shellock by Artistic was $9.50. That doesn't necessarily reflect a cost difference. Maybe they just wanted to push the travertine.

New Build in Phoenix *UPDATED 9/20/13*

Re: New Build in Phoenix *UPDATED 3/25* I looked into them. They make some outstanding claims. I takled to a PB who offered their products, Shellock IIRC, and they were willing but didn't seem to be believers. They had it in their pool display but we went with travertine from Monterrey Tile...
